Word of the Day Widget

I have had this widget for several months now. I would say 95% of the time no word shows up. During this time, I've only seen about four or five words. They keep on switching back and forth between those four or five words in the 5% of the time that there is a word actually showing. I do not know if the word has to be manually put in by a person and they have just been too busy to do so or if it's automated and that feature is just broken, for whatever reason this widget/app does not work.

This would be a great phone app, but it isn't tablet optimized. It is pixelated and all the text is too big.

Great app. Nice and clean and direct. Only critique, show how to pronounce the words, because I'm sure I pronounced many incorrectly.

More like random phrases no one ever uses. This is not the best app to fancy up your vocabulary.

Get some better words, and give pronunciations!

Keeps repeating the same old words no update for what feels like a year

Says "No word of day found." If I click the app from the launcher, it's there, but why no widget?

Wikipedia has a lot of fake answers..should be Google for droid app. BURR

I'm trying to increase my vocabulary for my essay writing and this seems like a neat little app for this purpose but I'm already a but dissapointed because I can't resize the widget. I don't want to go into the app to see the whole definition.

Interesting app but some "word of the day" are not. Maybe if the app used out of the ordinary or words not used in common conversations it would be better. Also the word " Siesta" is not a word of the day. Its a Spanish word of the day and I want to improve my English.

Atrocious choice of words. You can expect words similar to those learned in 1st grade. This is NOT an app you use to improve your vocabulary.

Ridiculously tiny. No update since Nov 09 when.everyone had tiny phones. Ha! Developer comatosed.

Shouls have a pronunciation key...other than that I love it

I like the app/widget. It works well. Would b nice to have some words that one would use daily... and some breakdown of pronunciation so i can sound it out. Expanding the vocabulary is important, and the concept is there, now just needs some refining. Maybe b able to select a category, or a style of words....?

It should auto update whenever a wifi network is available. Its a good application, but make it more useful, by auto updating the widget.

LITERALLY A RANDOM DICTIONARY. OPENS SLOWLY AND PICKS A RANDOM ENTRY IN A DICTIONARY SO NOT WORD ME THE DAY BC IT'S DIFFERENT EVERY TIME YOU OPEN IT!

Nice app, good idea, looks good but words aren't what I thought they would be

Like the designed, it just needs to show or speak pronunciation of the word.

App has indicated no word found for the past couple days. Also I'd like to see more useful words to increase vocabulary. Many words are old phrases that are no longer used.

This is the most entertaining word of the day application, possibly ever. I'm studying to be an English teacher so I use some weird words from time to time. But these... are a whole new level. I share these with my classmates and professors almost daily. We all get a good chuckle. So if you're looking for an application to help you improve you vocabulary, keep looking. Still, go ahead and download this for some interesting, border-line nonsense, words.

Today's word is "shipwrecky"... As in shipwreck+y. Widget works great, design is okay. I only wish the vocabulary could be selected by the user, to match/improve upon their current (dare I say) lexicon.

I don't like that it doesn't show pronunciation of the words, and some of the vocab words are a little strange, but other than that it's a nice little widget.

It would be better if a random button was added and a speak button so I know if I'm saying the word correctly. Thanks

First two words one slang next one in French. Second when app is loading it says, "Loading word of day". I uninstalled this app and will look for one designed by someone who reads and writes English. Also the words will have to be in English.

Show or speak pronunciations! Feel like my vocab is increasing by the day great app. Also could refine which words are too be shown as sometimes I get totally uninteresting words

The app widget itself works fine, but the words tend to be pretty rediculous. "Photobomb"...? That's my word of the day? I was hoping this would have some useful words, but so far they have all been either cultural slang words, or super specific scientific terms that you could never use.

HeY its really good. Finding a new word on my home screen. But when will it update? i cant see any setting for it. And there is no pronunciation help?
