httpmon - HTTP Server Monitor for Android
Can't add server
Seems that the app doesn't handle offline webservers very well. Massive exceptions in the log.
Kicked off a shell shell script while riding a ski lift last wekend, this app saved my a$$!!! Love it.
Frequently told me my server was dead and it was okay - phone could get the page, tested with telnet to the webserver :)
This is such a relief for a wary sys admin like me. Simple yet full featured and quite functional from my testing. Thank you for this contribution!
False alarms? Ping less frequently. Checking every 10 seconds means a 5 second signal loss (e.g. disabling 3G) will give a 50% chance of false alarm.
Doesn't work correctly. Tested down sever. No alert.
Works well but crap config conditions.
Suit my needs
Excellent. Needs audible alerts and send email alert options though...
The best app for server monitoring. If you get false negatives try setting it to only alert after 3 consecutive failures. Mine are 10 mins apart and t
False negatives. 5 stars when the monitor icon can be removed and alerts with sound. Log goes crazy when server offline.
Not significantly better than sitepoke. Running indicator is of little use and should be removable not to waste space.
Consumes so much battery and bandwidth . Kicking back to 'server checkup' app though its very simple but doesnt drain my battery at least
Force closes if remove last condition. Looks good otherwise.
App w great potential and brilliant support. Very happy indeed :)
Too many False negatives. Cant stop them after starting a few.
Nice program, now I can ensure my works web server is always up. Would be nice if it had an average response time for the server. 5 stars though!
Great app. A must have for IT. Gives false negatives sometimes.
Says server down when it's up. Gave up, hope SRV fixes soon.
Outstanding app! Works on our unique server config when nothing else would! A must have for any IT professional who needs to monitor their networks.
False alarms, yet neat little piece of software. False alarms will be triggered when your signal is too weak
The app is configured to ping one server every 15 minutes. I receive 5-10 false alarms every day about server being down while it works fine.
This is one of those apps I download every time I get a new phone. The UI could use a little work, hence the 4 stars.
Monitoring for an hour over 3G this app took 1.5Mb data and that was for checks per minute - the data had to be for ads when I wasnt using the phone! Apart from really small font size and excessive use of bandwidth, I would make this a must-have monitor with at least score of 4. Ads are acceptable, but not when they destroy the usefulness of a product. Uninstalling.
False positives every 15 minutes. For god's sake, develeoper, try to fix this as your application is completely useless.
Pros: granular http (response code and time, header and content), ping as well. It is more like a 4.7 score ;) As others requested a diff alarm tone would make it a 5 star for me.
Simple, easy, working as expected. It'd be nice to configure diff intervals for wifi/gprs.
Nice, simple, supports alarms. Good job. Perhaps you could add a new type of alarm which is much louder.
Works perfectly for me monitoring 4 servers. Would be nice if instead of restarting on re-entry, it instead showed last ran checks?
Good app so far. Would be nice to have a widget for each server status on homescreen. Will change to 5stars when this is available. DROIDX
Does not update status automatically, had to manually update each time I need to ping my server!
Tried with wifi. I don't trust its states: false positives and false negatives when setting the server up or down. Indeed with ping was giving false positives (cheked pinging from the android terminal)
great tool! would be nice to have mysql and other ports as well :) thx
No complaints it works great!
It's nice that it does not requior any software to function properly but due to that there are limitations on what server checks it can make.
Finally works as it should!
Works great. DROIDX
It's pretty bad.

Maybe because it is so old, doesn't work reliably even on andr5
