SJCAM HD

I quite like the idea of simple camera remote app, but even the simplest remote app is supposed to work properly. For example, when I start time-lapse, all control buttons disappear from the screen and there's no way how to end recording. Gallery completely missing preview pictures and downloading simply doesn't work either. The only good thing is, that I can transfer it to SD card. But if you are on Android 4, this is your only option.

I've been using SJ4000wifi and everytime I use this app to take picture it freezes ALL THE TIME specially outdoors. Defeats the purpose if you cant use it outdoor. Definitely needs improvement ASAP. A lot of people use SJcam I think its to time really make some improvement on this app. Makes me not wanna use the cam itself. Sad.

I allready updated the firmware exactly like what on website. But still warn me that need updated firmware.... i have 4 sjcam 4000 only one that i can connected by android via wi fi..what do you expect from me for the star half or five...?

I've JUST installed this software. And it doesn't everything it should do. You can import video and images over WiFi to your phone to upload. No pc needed. You can view the camera view live on your phone and record/change settings. I've got no instructions so it's a little slow getting it at first but I've not had to google anything.

1. Now, my m10+ (v2.5 already)only take 720p@60 when using the app. Change resolution to 1080p don't effect. Simply show back 720p....using camera is ok. 2. Still need to download 1by1. No preview... a bit faster than b4. I love the cam but the app is so disappointed.

the app freezes or drops wifi connection quite frequently. first it would be nice if it handles wifi connection at least choos camera from a list. it would be also nice to have multiple select choices to download media like all, this date, etc.

Not the best interface and regularly stops working saying sjzone stopped working. Have to uninstall app and reinstall again. Frustrating to say the least. When it works it not too bad.

Connecting with camera works fine, however after switching modes, it disconnect with camera and then should connect again. The most important item is, how to download video from camera to phone directly. Not very clear how this work. Please take a look how gopro's app works and apply this to this app. Then, I think that Sjcam can rule the action cam industry. Thanks!

Reviewed mostly bad comment.. But i just try to download it.. And its works pretty good. Try to put your phone flight mode. Download the image & video. If u can't find it in ur gallery.. Try open it using File Manager.. It's work for mine tho...

SJ4000 camera is awesome and I love it. However I will only give 5 stars if: 1. The app enables users to download videos as it enables users to download photo to the smartphones. This will also allow users to instantly share the videos online. 2. The app has video and photo editing functions so that we can edit instantly and share it online. 3. Allows digital zoom on the app(even if the actual thing is that the camera actually crops the video to enlarge the frame)

This app installed and worked fine on my HTC One M8 device. The SJ4000 paired on Wifi without fuss. As others have reported, the main 'missing feature' is the ability to alter the zoom setting on the camera from the app. If this, rather obvious, facility is actually implemented, it's pretty well hidden. The app itself is functional but lacks refinement.

App crashes alot , so much to a point that it's frustrating at times. App doesn't connect automatically to the camera , I have do it manually every time I have to connect my SJ CAM 5000 WiFi. Please fix this app and improve the UI.

It always stop working on my device. Samsung grand 2. Furthermore when i take a picture and i turn my wifi on, the result iss worse. The action is pending and sometime the screen all black and suddenly its say stop working. Please fix it asap!

The remote viewer and control is ok, but when you try and view the file list the app just crashed over and over, even after restarting the device.

It works for me. However when I download a movie file on my phone, I have to use another app to find it....please fix it where once you download a movie it places it in a easy spot to find, like the Gallery section on the Samsung S4

Worked great first try on my nexus 6 and my son's nexus 5. Don't know why other people are having problems. Make sure you do your research before you buy the camera and get a real one instead of a fake.

This App needs improvement. the only problem is when I try to connect wifi in a mountain or beach (mobile network is not good enough) but it often freeze. Also when I change mode video to picture. Please fix this app because the camera is great but not for app. Hope you developer can improve it. Thank you

Hi am using Samsung note 4. Had problems to connect. All the time had connectiosn problems and camera was turning off. After reading some forums I have found the solution: 1. Enable the wifi function on the camera. 2. Connect to the wifi ssid ver the phone wifi settings. Disable the mobile data function on the phone. Connect to the camera via the phone sjcam app. That's it. It works. After you have connection you can enable the mobile data back.

I feel like 2 yr old could make this app. UI is bad as hell. What I found frustrating is my videos are not downloaded to my phone when connect with wifi

I wish there will be an update where we can see the thumbnail of the pictures in the file list. Also, when connected to any phone (apple or android) the video is lagging.

I got a sjcam sj5000 wifi.Works good on mi samsung galaxy s4 i9505 firmware 4.3 mj7. You got to have a Genuine sjcam Our it will not work. And make sure you haven't got a fake sjcam. There's lots out there.

1. Fix the refresh rate on video mode ESPECIALLY on taking picture mode, it lags like forever. 2. Give us the ability to view the pictures taken before downloading or deleting, even just the thumbnail will do.

It works ok on my Samsung s5 but I'd like it if I could watch the video back on all video feeds/galleries and on screen mirroring. Also I think it needs some big fixes it sometimes freezes and closes down

After last update, can't connect to camera. "Please Updata FW! " error. But I can't update the camera cause there s no new firmwares for it. Before update it worked fine. Bring back old version, please

Don't buy this camera. It's an excellent product ruined by poor software. The latest App checks the firmware version which is great. However it won't work unless you have the latest version on your camera which is fine. But I and loads of other people can't install the latest version of the camera firmware because it won't load into our cameras! Catch 22? Come on manufacture get it sorted!. Yes, I do have a genuine camera and not a clone.

My SJCAM 5000 Wi-Fi when I switch to Photo mode, its damn lag when I bring the camera up & move around, but it works fine when I bring it down. I don't know what's happening, isit the camera system problem or the app giving problem?? Please help, other mode was smooth, just the camera mode. Pictures are perfectly HD & 100% clear when I view through gallery. I'm using ASUS ZenFone 2 Laser.

The interface's great, but there's some bug when using the app.. The wifi connected perfectly but the app crashed when the mode was changed into video/image.. Hope the dev can address this issues and fix it..

Please enhance your application. When any smartphone is connected to SJCam using the wifi, the connection in very slow (especially outdoor)

It doesn't work on my google Nexus 5 with android. Disappointed by this. 2 stars because wi-fi connection works on lenovo and Hudl2 tablets. That's why I kept camera. SJCAM doesn't provide firmware upgrade or real support. Second recommended app on their website doesn't work on my Nexus5 either. Work on it pls ! Very popular camera but poor app really.

Needs to fix the glitches badly and photo preview on the cam to the phone must be there without before downloading

Disappointing. The UI & functionality is rubbish. No Thumbnails - No ability to auto sync across to the phone. How can such a great camera (SJC5000X) be so poorly supported? My old Samsung 'Point & Shoot' cam (4 yrs old) is supported by an app that is light years ahead of this bucket of sh#t. C'mon lift your game......[please]

This app is really bad. When files are listed, they are randomly sorted and it always keep downloading all the file repeatedly even though the files had been downloaded and takes very long time to download. If I could rate Zero star, i would love to, but unable to. I thought I have already download the files and proceed to delete them but who know, it means permanently deleting from my phone instead of the file listed on the app! I'll be exploring other brands of action cameras.

Video preview works with my sj4000 WiFi model, however there's no audio. It is a bug or a missing feature? Please give us a fix.

It is recommended to upgrade to the firmware ver 2.6 and my new cam become useless and never action. I bought other brand more cheaper and working well with any apps.

it's very slow when connected as viewfinder. also, it would be nice to view the photos in the camera as thumbnail instead of just a bunch of filenames so we can download the correct ones.

My HTC One M8 will not run this app, neither will my Motorola Moto X. This is junk.

Connects to my SJ4000 action camera with no problems. Wish I was able to edit videos I.e add music, stitch one video to another as other apps don't recognise video format. Otherwise A OK. On the 1st August 15 my wi fi stopped working. Tried several things to get it back up & Running with no luck.

App works great..the only problem i have i cant save the video even after i download it..for photos no problem..for those who says this app didnt work its because u bought fake sjcam cause original cam shouldnt have problems connecting to wifi..those u cant connect could try connect using other apps..

Bcos of the review, i didnt download. Aft a few weeks, i download and tried. It works for me. Just thats its laggy. Better than its useless though.

video is delayed even more delayed video on the phone if set to still cam mode will crash if you set video resolution to 2K from this software will not launch if the cam is already set to capture 2K videos very ugly interface code of the app feels like it has been created as for a mini-thesis by a high school student new to coding.
