Meridian Player

This app is in serious need of a redesign. Specifically the banner ads in the free version. First issue is that the ads need better vetting. Second is the placement of said ads. The placement is directly below the play/pause/next/previous buttons. VERY EASY TO INADVERTENTLY TAP BANNER AD! I had one of these said ads serve up some scareware to my phone. It doesn't seem the malware is too terribly serious, but I still do not appreciate it. I had used this app for at least 3 years now, and I never had a problem. Until now. Uninstalling.

Used it with LG optimus S, LG G2, G4 now using it with my LG v10 after 6.0 update i had to uninstall and reinstall but no big deal. Went pro to get rid of the ads took me 5 year but why not at that point just to support the developer.

Love all the customization possibilities + all the supported file formats. Would love to see support for music files from SNES games to enjoy soundtracks in a single app.

Not a good app to play video. You can Play video as audio, But you won't please with it.

Nicely designed app. As someone who downloads a lot of podcasts, the resume playback option is really helpful and neat.

It is a good app because of playing by folders with normal sorting options.

Is there any way to open directly into the player instead of the selection screen? Nuisance to always have to click the link in upper left (usually one-handed) every time I start the app. Also, if I click Back to the start of a track it doesn't remember when I open app next time. It is always back where it was in the track originally. I have to skip a track and then return to the one I want for it to stay at the beginning.

Like: iTunes rating system, play songs based on rating. Dislike : can't disable gestures, so you won't be able to touch the screen otherwise something will happen. Also it shows all audio, video in your Playlist. So if u r playing in car or loud speaker then u r screwed bcz it will play all the audio files(personal or non personal)

The only issue I've had recently is with other apps shutting down music playback. It is currently not possible to make the player's notification permanent in the notification bar to restart playback after another app shuts it down. If a persistent notification option were added to settings, Meridian would be perfect again.

Love this app. Only wish I could still play videos while operating other apps. .

Plz correct for mi max. I have been using this player for 2 years ...it works in samsung j7 , but not in mi max. ...if i tap it not stop or if i move finger right it does not forward ...correct asap..else .i don't want to search for other player

You need to keep adding a new features,for instance, like floating video player resiziable floating windows, to stay in this competitive working. I sometimes need to watch videos musics as I chat on WhatsApp etc. NOW, I can't do this two at ago. Only one at a time. I wish you could add this features before the new year creeps in. Otherwise a whole bunches of superb players are out there for people's choice...MX player,BS player,Floating players,Tiny Players,ShareIt Players etc..... This apps leaves much to be desired!!!!

This was my best player app since years.Today I installed last version, it doesn't play MP3 22kz / 96kbps!!(my recorded lessons)I have moved from an old HTC wildfire(was perfect) to xiaomi redmi 4 pro Android 6-Xi 8.1 where VLC player is working with that kind of Mp3 .. So what's the point?I hope you answer me or solve soon,to continue to use your nice player!I will change my review after your answer/solution. Thanks!

equaliser not good. low volume

It allows me to organise my music by composer and album and can play flac files. Perfect!

Until recently I've been very happy with Meridian. Now it freezes in the middle of the playlist on certain songs. I changed microSD cards and reloaded the MP3s from my computer, but it's still the same songs freezing. Not sure why! Great app, otherwise, so try it out!

I'd probably give 4 or 5 stars but there is a timer in there that just stops the music after a few songs! Very annoying indeed. Can this be disabled? God knows.

The best mobile music app of all!! Android, iOs, anything. Thanks people! Ability to manage folders is superb. Especially love the use of gestures and large screen area for pause/play - this is a standout feature only in meridian.

Not impressed with free version. Spend money on an upgrade? Not likely when free version fails to impress.
