About Ekadasi
The App calculates Shuddha Ekadasi, Tithis and Naksatras, Sunrise and Sunset timings as well Moon timings potentially for all places in the world.
All calculations are done offline by Gaurabda Calendar program - GCal. GCal is developed by Gopalapriya Das of ISKCON Bratislava. GCal is a free and full-featured calendar calculation program for Gaudiya Vaisnavas.
Ekadashi, also spelled as Ekadasi, is the eleventh lunar day (Tithi) of the shukla (bright) or krishna (dark) paksha (fortnight) of every lunar month in the Hindu calendar (Panchang). It is considered a spiritually beneficial day. Scriptures recommend observing an (ideally waterless) fast from sunrise on the day of Shuddha Ekadashi to sunrise on the day following Ekadashi.
It is believed that committing spiritual austerities during the Shuddha Ekadasi help the soul to attain liberation from the cycle of birth and death. In addition, the Ekadasi helps cleanse the physical, mental and spiritual level. Thus, Ayurvedic medicine recommends fasting to maintain and improve health.
The App main functionality:
- it allows to find your current place using GPS
- it includes a database with ~100 000 cities, so, you can find your place offline
- it allows to find almost any place by name using Google servies if a device has access to the Internet
- calculates Suddha Ekadasi, Parana time, Tithis, Naksatras, Rashi, Vaar, Lagna and etc for the given place
- calculates Brahma muhurta, Abhijit muhurta, Rahu kalam, Gulika kalam, Yama gandam
- possibility to export Gaurabda Calendar to a Google calendar
- it includes stories for all Ekadasis you can read offline

The App includes the widget called: Ekadasi Calendar.
Main widget functionality:
- you can add several widgets on a device screen
- each widget can have its own settings for a place
- widget is fully resizable, also its color and transparency can be changed
- widget header/cell is clickable and opens the App, Ekadasi desciption and etc
- notification and reminders about the events for Gaurabda Calendar
- notification and reminders about the daily events like:

The application is very good and important for vaishnavas but one major thing that is missing is I cannot export the events to Google Calendar because I don't see any of my Google Calendars in the export box. Please fix this because the application deserves 7 stars ✨.

I like the widget easy to check on upcoming events and fasting. Problem is I can't seem to remove the locations...! (Now fixed) Also one of my suggestion for improvement is to quickly note fasting events on the calendar month view. Will make life easy prb. Also, I noticed if I want to identify birthday, anniversary of personal events etc. there is no option to insert custom events.

Very useful and informative app. It would be more helpful if the admins can add tara balam and nakshatra balam features. It would be more beneficial if alarms are added to notify brahma muhurat, rahu kalam, abhijit muhurat etc.

For current date and time "PULL TO LOAD" works. When you search... example 1973 or 1971 you will see January details but cannot load Febuary etc or even go backwards. It was working when I 1st downloaded but after updates it doesn't. Any ideas on what is wrong or what to do? Thanks. I see version 1.5
