I don't know if it was a recent update or my new phone but it doesn't work any more. Displays nothing.

But what it tries to do (that it doesn't even have permissions for sometimes) is creepy and outright unneeded, like access accounts, and even resorting to /proc for a system ID. Thanks, XPrivacy!

I have used this app to troubleshoot configuration issues with multiple WiFi networks operating in congested areas. For checking channel and power setting against other networks, it worked very well. It would be nice if the logo was the WiFi symbol on a transparent background instead of the white rectangle.

Wow! It's 'just' 592Kb, free, useful, and actually does* what's promised!!! That's at least 4 stars. If you want 5, make an option to view only unsecured networks. *=pretty rare in PlayStore

I have a used a couple of WiFi analysis apps but this one is the most compact app I've ever seen, like its namesake says. Thumbs up to the dev for finally adding portrait mode as an option too! When using the channel comparison view, allow 20 seconds or so before the app evaluates its readings correctly. Not sure if it's a bug or feature; my AP router is just ten feet away with a passive booster antenna and set to Channel 1. The app initially showed Ch. 1 as "poor" but moments later changed to excellent.

Thanks for the quick reply. Good to know. Reinstalled! :) Really appreciate the explanation. Original Post: Why does the app need to know the exact GPS location? Uninstall. Many similar apps that are not as intrusive.

Clean and simple layout. One of my favorites.

I have to force stop the app and restart to check another location, whether room to room or across town. The graph may or may not stop updating as well, but since it just shows the same frozen data either way it doesn't even matter.
