About Hive2Hive
Hive2Hive is a secure library for distributed file synchronization and sharing. It is based on a distributed hash table and therefore has no central server. With this app, you can connect your Android phone to the overlay network and manage your synchronized and shared files. Hive2Hive lets you easily sync all your documents among multiple devices such as computers and mobile phones. Everything is client-side encrypted, thus no one else can access your private data.
The following functionality is supported by this application
• Access and download synchronized files from the network
• Upload new folders, documents, images and other files
• Delete synchronized files on your phone or on all your devices
• Share folders with other users (read or write permissions)
Note that you need to connect to an existing Hive2Hive overlay network or create your own network. Visit the wiki to get more details: https://github.com/Hive2Hive/Android/wiki
Hive2Hive has evolved out of a student project at the Communications Systems Group of the University of Zurich. It is completely open-source and therefore does not contain any backdoors or other vulnerable code.
