ThaiLearner - Learn thai for Android
I downloaded this app after coming back from Thailand. There is one page that has a bug, that page moves on to quick and the voice does not finish what is to be said..... if only the sound bits were broken up. I would love this app to be develop fully to help with us "students" to learn more.... fabulous app
So far helping me learn to get by on the street, but could use a bit more utility. The learn section doesn't let you rewind and practice but the files are short so it's not a huge problem.
Tones indicators (arrows) are very useful. Good learning with quiz. Wish the Thai text font was bigger and the logo not so big on the screen..
I think if I run through these lessons a couple of times, I'll nail it. Now someone needs to make wordlens for Thai.
Im indonesian i might go to thai to go to school there if Theres a thailand-er could tutor me so ill know better
But how to delete ads? Ads is so bored
Plays through phrases with a test at the end. Not as good as a duolingo app.
Good audio, written pronounciation, app doesnt crash , updates and free at the moment... well done mr owner u deserve credit
I love this app so much, it helps me more in building thai vocabularies. Anyway, Filipino here!!! Pom rak meuang Thai! :-D
I never rate apps, but this one is worth it. I have tried many language learning apps, and this is by far the best. If you need to learn basic Thai to get around fast, this is perfect for you!
Hey I love the way it makes it a memory game ... I Like this app here. Would be a five if it came with real live breatheing teacher . Then would be perfect. Good work guys. On this one.
Small app that can make your life in Thailand much easier. The vocabulary is very limited but this app is perfect if you want to memorize some thai keywords or the numbers.

A useful selection of words and categories for beginners, along with a concise breakdown of Thai grammer. I especially appreciated the tone indicators next to the syllables in each transliterated word. You can't really go wrong this this app as a supplement for your Thai learning experience.
While some of the language included in this app does not appear to be in common usage anymore, and many of the vocalised phrases are hard to distinguish due to low volume, it is generally a good app, and helped me learn some basics. A recent issue with this app is that the sound seems to drop out when the testing phase commences and doesnt return
Has me memorize the meaning and sounds of many phrases and words in short time(6-8 10-15 minute sessions or around 2 hrs use and I can remember quite a bit, and I'm not known for having the best memory)... Future updates if any should include man and woman normal thai sounding speech for each word and phrase, longer quizzes for each category as an option, yet more words, etc. Good app but I feel much much more can be done.
This app is awesome. I love the audio, learning doesn't stop, and a quiz at the end. Its easy to use and I'm picking it up. Now I can talk to my inlaws. Thank you!!
It has a lot of useful words and phrases with speach too. Best app for learning thai I've ever seen. Thanks for the great job.
This app is so perfect
Good memorization tool overall. Two main problems with all the quizzes: they don't tell you the correct if you're wrong and the same question is often repeated 2-3 times. This is especially a problem with the number quiz
Great teaches thai sentences , words and phrases , even grammar ! Completed with pronunciation . But the quiz doesn't impress me very much .
Downloaded and started on the basics and I realised some of them were wrong straight away. For example a-roy is used to mean delicious, not "it is good".

Great application, just needs more development. I wish they had a pro version.
Very useful! This app helped me a lot on pasa thai :) Even better if they make it into sentences :) ขอบคุนครับ!
The number quiz and all other category quizzes never tells you what the correct answer is if you answer wrongly. Also, the questions in all the quizzes are sometimes repeated three times. Can this be fixed?
Easy to use and I feel I am starting to learn basic Thai. I haven't used all the features yet but so far so good
Won't help with sentences, only some words. Very limited options- you can't pause or go back through the list of words. Quiz is only thai to english. English to thai would be better.
Love this app it has been so helpful for me since I don't speak a word of thai. They explain the pronunciation which is more important than the words themselves.
A good free app with no asking for money. Wide range of beginner words and phrases and the quizzes are very useful to check understanding. I use this in conjunction with more structured courses and am pleased with it
Dis is an awesome test of memory and pronounciaion
Fun, has sound, english phonetic spelling and thai spelling. It's a winner
It is really easy and fun apps and makes me enjoying learn thai by myself :)
Rasy to learn app. Found it useful in corrrsponding to my ftiend from Bkk
I am enjoying learning with this app. It seems to be a good starting point, and would be a great asset for any traveller.
Very good. But need more lesson. More rooms for improvement.
I wish i can memorize all of this because i want to go in thailand
Some quiz repeated but I enjoyed learning, just wish tat they teach us how to make sentences and more quizes.
I just returned from the land of the smiles and regretted not having this earlier! This is an amazing app! Why pay for substandard apps when you can get this great one for free?

Only drawback is that the voice is female. Perfect gor the ladies. However, Thai is a language with male & female words or word endings. Saying, "Sawatdee Kah" is for females, only, not for both sexes. Men say, "Sawatdee Khrap". Men refer to themselves as, "Phom", & women would never do that. Please forgive the spelling of Thai words in English. I know it is probably incorrect.
