Free Dictionary Org

Have had this app for years and used it almost daily whether for the dictionary or thesaurus. Today it stopped working. I type in a word, hit the search and nothing happens. No thinking, just absolutely nothing. Sorry to have to delete such a useful app, but I need something reliable.

Deploying offline wordnet makes the app crash upon launch

I downloaded this app mainly for moon+ reader. but I regret. it doesnt work well with this reader. *when you are reading in moon+ and look for the meaning of a word, FDO doesnt show the offline meaning directly. you have to press search button. I mean it should act smart enough to switch betwn online & offline mode. *it doesnt support TTS? to know the pronunciation of word. I see the speaker button in above scrnshots, But not in my app. And I am using v2.5.1 *some words missing from offline data. e.g. teser..I guess data is outdated. *dark theme would be nice!

This dictionary is really fabulous. It covers all that you need. A must-have dictionary without which English may unlikely be an easy job.

I use this mainly because it's integrated in with Moon+ Reader. I love that you can easily switch the search to Google Images and Wikipedia. It's not my FAVORITE dictionary app - too basic and even without looking at the date it was clear it hadn't been updated in years - but it's the best one of the ones Moon+ Reader gave you to choose from, without needing to open up my browser.

Constantly crashing, I literally can't look up anything, it just crashes.

This dictionary is very precise I love it everytime I need to get the proper definition of a word this is always handy and right on time. And basketball it gives you the right pronunciation of the word that is very clear.

I've used this app for years but out of nowhere it started crashing every time I used it on my s6 edge

But please add exit button and setting not to run in background

HTC one M8-It works online quite good,but nowadays it has stopped working offline.there are surely some problems,installed wordnet3.0 still it keeps on waiting and never shows the meaning while offline.

Works really well, very pleased with it. Made me laugh today looking at the 'Moby thesaurus' entry for 'basket' - basically loads of words for genitals.

I like this app but what I don't like about it is it just disappears from my phone and I have to download it again. I've had to do this 3 to 4 times. This should be looked into so it can be fixed

Note: For offline use, you need to install the free Wordnet dictionary! It's great to have access to such a complete lexical resource right on my Android tablet! Love it!

This is a very well designed piece of software which is simple yet works perfectly for me.

Uses less memory storage, everything is being given in detail, user friendly app and the words are easy to find... Excellent app in overall.

It really helps me a lot esp.whenevr my kids has a vocabulary assignnent

The application worked on Wednesday July 29th just fine, but on the 30th would no longer work something to do with the MYSOL server. For what it's worth its not just my phone which is a Samsung galaxy 3 but others as well. Would you please fix this so I can give you the proper rating of 5 stars Like you deserve.

There are very few words that I haven't been able to find with this dictionary. The small storage space is much better for my wee little phone than the 28mb for that M-W option.

It WAS the app to have but now it says no connection...impossible! Internet working fine, netfix working fine everything that requires a network connection is working fine except...you guessed it this app & this makes me sad :(

I love this app a lot.

This app seems to work great, but its lack of a modern Holo UI theme makes it a bit of an eyesore, but it seems that it can be easily changed.
