Great countdown widget. Runs really well. The only bummer is you can't really customize the look. I wish I could change the background color or make it transparent. Maybe even change the font.

Does exactly as displayed, counts down the days to the set date. As a widget, it can stay visible on the home screen. No special permissions or access requested. No adds.
