Very simple but also very helpful! Thank you for creating this app! To those complaining about the app not working: It doesn't work for all Android types so please do not bash the app creator and just look for another app that will suffice :)

Technically the app does work (Gnex GSM 4.0.4) - But, Instead of waking directly to the lock screen, this app flashes my homescreen first for a brief second (which is not good). If this get's fixed I will give 5 stars - until then, uninstalled...

When you turn on the screen, the screen flashes your home screen first, then shows the lock screen. And upon unlocking no input to the screen is read. You have to press home or back to get a response (it would seem that the app leaves a completely invisible interface on top of everything). Please fix ?

Doesn't work on HTC Desire SV (android 4.0.4). Please mention a list of devices & OS which it supports in the home page. It's a waste of time for many users.

Wakes on volume rocker most of the time, but sometimes the screen will only work if I press my power button (which is kinda broken on my phone)

And more importantly, made the phone incredibly y slow as well.

It works, but sucks battery pretty hard.

I wanted this to work with my volume button, but it didn't. When I tried to unlock normally, it wouldn't let me get back to my homescreen. I was forced to go into settings and uninstall it. POS!!

Application glitches screen cause it to be unresponsive for a moment unless lock-unlock. Also it does not react on any HW buttons expat Power. Proximity Wake works way better, still it cause battery to evaporate faster.

Work on gingerbread, but seems above ics wont work

Doesn't work if you have either wifi or network data enabled before screen time out. Have to either plIf they are disabled, works fine. PS- Mine's an old HTC Desire S.

I have android 4.4 and however I try this app does not allow me to wake up with volume button. I don't have a lock screen, but that shouldn't matter right?

Worked for a while then stopped working all together Clicking the app icon would freeze up the app menu and stopping it would freeze it up as well. Not sure what the issue is but. Well on to the next till it stops working.

When I install this on my Galaxy S2 running JB it freezes everything except for my pull down menu.

It's okay , but my screen freezes till I press the home button . please fix . Other than that it's good(:

after latest update, however, waking phone with volume rocker results in loud beep. Please disable or make optional. Keep up the hard work! Android 2.3.4 on Nexus1

Kinda works - volume turns the screen on - and shows lock screen, which unlocks as usual, but after that the screen is unresponsive until home is pressed. Also experienced general sluggishness initially, but ok currently. (Nexus S, 4.1.2)

Did not with at all at first. After about an entire day. Then it suddenly started working. Lifesaver! Galaxy s (2.1-update)(eclair) shut up. I know it's old!

I tried other apps but none of them worked. & this one did.! OMG I'm glad (: you guys should try it!!

WORKS LIKE A CHARM on Flying FG8 dual sim android phone! Thank you SO MUCH for this app! Just don't forget to check "ignore front task" in your easy task killer otherwise it will kill the app!

I've had installed it on my Vega A850 and it didn't work. But I think it's only app out there which is free..

My power button no longet works and this lets me wake my phone with the volume keys, but instead of going to the lock screen it goes to whatever I was on before :( can you fix that please?

AnyUnlock and other programs like it don't work for my phone. I've only just got my phone working again after the power button stopped working, and this is the only one that will unlock my phone. What a godsend!

Reliable (nexus one), not like some of the other apps. The beep can be avoided by long holding the volume key to wake phone.

I have 2deal with the frustration of a broken power knob so after days of searching i am glad i found this app. Though its not perfect, i give you guys 5stars for your hard work. My only problem is that my security is disabled. No lock prompt. Just takes me straight to the home screen. I hope you can fix that. Kudos!

My power button mysteriously jammed last night (and I've only had this phone for about 3 weeks, go figure...) so I was hoping this would solve my waking up issue. NOPE. Not for this phone.

i had problem for 2 months and this app solve my problem with broken power button. If there is 6th star ill give it but there is only 5 so, five HUGE stars to this app. ZTE blade G

Does not work. Wish it did, says service started but only power key turns on. Does not prompt for restriction access, may be the problem.

This app is good for phones with dying power button. Sometimes, after unlocking with volume buttons, the screen becomes unresponsive. A workaround - pressing the back button immediately after unlocking.

Nexus S- With ICS 4- Stock. It works fine.. I will update the battery consumption details later. We can set the pattern lock as well. the trick here is once you press the volume button and light up the screen, draw the pattern, Then you've to press the "Home" capacitive button and then the screen will be operative, otherwise it will look like the screen is hanging..

Great, great, great! If you could somehow add the trackball as an option, that would be even better! Otherwise, I can live with the volume keys doing the trick!
