About Pure ICS File Manager

Are you sick of having to scroll through ridiculous, cartoonish, and just plain ugly icons to find your files? Are you embarrassed to open your file manager because of how much it clashes with the rest of Android's design? Are you tired of wasting precious hours of your time just trying to figure out how to copy and paste?

Well I was. I got so fed up with all of the goofy looking, dysfunctional file managers I saw on the market that I decided to write my own.

Pure ICS File Manager sticks as close to the Android design and UI principles as possible, from the way files are selected all the way down to the form of the icon. Its goal is to be a perfect fit into the Android operating system, both in aesthetics and usability.

M70%

Looks awesome, if I may suggest to at least tone down the orange colour of the folder and icon, but over all is the best file manager thus far...

M70%
by M####:

This is a great file manager. The only thing missing is root access. Add that and this will be perfect.

V70%

the only file manager I've found so far that I'm not totally embarrassed to have on my device. one minor gripe is with the folder icon, its gradients are rather harsh compared to the stock ICS icons. but its certainly better than other file manager icons.

A good looking and simple file manager that looks right at home on my Galaxy nexus.

Awesome app... Finally a good looking file manager! FC when trying to modify system settings (permissions and other root items) but otherwise perfect. Thank you!

R70%

Nice UI but copy/cut & paste between internal & external memory is unattainable . This can't move files from my thrive to my SD card ? Then it's no good for me .

Y70%

I used to use Astro, but it has an enormous number of features I will never, ever use. This not only matches Android's stock appearance extremely well, it's no-frills nature makes it blazing fast, while still allowing you to do what you want to do. Uninstalled Astro and will be using this from now on.

When I updated my phone to JB it works virtually while not updating or scanning new file locations eg. If I moved a video from folder to another, the new location doesn't refresh in gallery... please fix!

U70%

Its not bad but definitely lacking a few options. Root is almost a necessity for a file manager. One thing I would like added is a grid view.

Y70%
by Y####:

Absolutely excellent design which compliments Android perfectly. Highly recommended ad free file manager

Y70%

Cut not pasted from internal memory to sd card

Y70%
by Y####:

No frills, simple file manager that does everything I need

Y70%
by Y####:

A great piece of software. Just add root and google drive support and then it's perfect.

P70%
by P####:

Needs to sort by... Type, file size, last modified, file name. And it would be nice if the sort was just a single button at the top of the file manager that would scroll through each sort type when you touched it. That would make it easier to find files when your in a folder full of a lot of files. Imho!

Y70%
by Y####:

I change from io file manager to this one is lite and fast It's that's way I like it all needs to able to handle different types of zip compressions, but otherwise I love it I tested them all file managers and please keep up the good work

A70%
by A####:

It's buttery smooth, just like the system apps in Jelly Bean :)

Y70%
by Y####:

Professional look and pretty useful. No harmful or spy permissions needed. Liked it.
