Want to track your whereabouts without revealing your information to third parties? Take ownership of your location data! Meacon sends your location to a URL you specify, at a regular interval. Meacon does not record your information internally and does not transmit data to any service other than the one you specify.

Why? Many people have written their own self-tracking apps. Meacon removes the overhead associated with this task by giving you the ability to centralize your location data without writing your own app --- all that is needed is a URL to handle the data.

Note: Meacon does not prohibit other apps from accessing your location data. This must be managed through location services.
