EdX - Online Courses

You guys are devils!!! What's the point in creating an app if we can't access videos in it. Whenever I try to watch any video of my courses it says that this video is not supported on your device. Really disappointing. I hope you would fix this. I want to do my courses on my phone!! They are important. Oh! And about edX they are really amazing people. I signed for many great courses they had. I really love their lectures. I would surely tell anyone to go to their website and see the diverse courses they have.

Its a great app for learning but If you can add a feature to suggest courses as per individuals goal then it would be more helpful. Let's say if someone wants to pursue a carrier in finance by doing MBA so if there is a option to find relevant courses and including their levels of difficulty. It will be easier to do the courses in more mannerful way. Right now it's tough to figure out which course is right for me or not

A for effort guys, the courses are best of the best, but I feel the app can be improved 1. Way to know how many lectures we have listened to, and quizzes we have done in the app. 2. Also connectivity issues persist, even though I am on 4g connection it takes a while even for text instructions to load Hoping the new version will address tgese issues

It redirects to youtube to watch videos and doesn't mark videos or articles as completed, so it's hard to see my progress. Sometimes textes don't fit screen proprly and I have to scroll horizontally to read the text. App crashes quite often. I'm unable to see my total progress on the phone... So good content, so poor app...

Great content and diversity of courses. I like the app but still find difficult to have the same experience as in the website. I love downloading the videos and watching them «on the go» but for the rest I hope they keep improving the format/layout to make it more mobile friendly

Perfect! i have been searching for such an online tutorial for very long and decided to give a try when my cousin recommended it. I never thought i would ever get such a perfectly organized amazing app...not only app, i use both website and app and website, and both r amazing...edX rocks!

Horrible app. Takes ages to load and sometimes doesn't at all. Waste of time, space, and storage. When it DID work the I couldn't see anything but a black screen when I attempted to watch the videos. I really hope the developers great a new version that works on all platforms. I will definitely reinstall if that were to happen.

It's a good app and I really appreciate your efforts to provide guidance to the learners all around the world like me from professors of some of the top universities for free of cost. I have only one problem whenever I trying to open course material and video lectures of the course Mechanics : Kinematics and dynamics by MITx the screen shows pop up 'Unfortunately, Edx has stopped'. Same is not happening about other courses they are working fine.

The website is great. But the app doesn't offer the main features of the website. There is no bookmarks for what you have finished and the videos you have already viewed. You always have to memorize the title of your last video to resume after. The app doesn't indicate or mark that.

Best education app that I had ever seen, thanks guys and keep the good job. Because it will help many people like me who can't afford a university specially African people like me!

This is awesome! I really like how they made up the application. You'll be guided thought different topics with videos, texts ad smaller tests. You're able to connect to other people worldwide to ask if you didn't understand something or to help others understanding. I really appreciate it!

Fairly decent app. It feels a little sluggish though but it's probably also because of my phone

Awesome. I changed my phone after enrolling and downloading my course videos,I don't have access to them on my new phone after installing the app. It'd be nice if there's an option for importing videos from memory storage.

got this error "you are in ofline mode. to find course, please connect to internet". my cellular connection is OK. Please fix this. i dont want to use wifi. i already turned off the "wifi only option" in setting. problem still persist

I love this app but only thing i don't understand is why it plays some of its video on YouTube. It would have been much convenient to use it within app.

EdX is the best MOOC platform so far in terms of course offer, the commitment to maintain free access to courses, and the dedication to build an open-source platform. The EdX Android app is stable, intuitive, and allows to watch course videos while offline.

Learning on the move . edX app bridges the missing piece between my wish of learning while moving through well known Bangalore traffic on a office cab or public transport. The verbatim text flow while the video is playing is a nice experiance. It helps to keep the concentration on if the video content is only going through a deck and no presenter movement is seen.

This app is very nice but in this one articles and text function is very boring. Because of it's take a lot of time for processing data and it is very very bed. I requested app developer please change the functionality of articles and text. I hope you.

X haravd university graduate also trying out their online ivy league courses happy to be back Haha but the feel is good to renter haravd it's been like 4 years since I passed out from Harvard university 1 Jan 2014

u r spreading free education, without any restrictions over students age, gender, nationality, color, cast, creed etc., from the best institutes I would have given more than 5 stars if it was possible.

EdX is by far the best place for free MOOCs. However, I'm not a fan of the app as it is hard to make sure I'm going through course content in the right order. I prefer the website, even on mobile

the contents are pretty much mobile friendly, great app works like a charm. It is a bit distracting when some contents redirect you to the website.

Doesn't show any details of the already enrolled but yet to start courses. The certification fee too isn't visible.

2 problems i've xperienced. Error showing while posting a comment in discussion section or submit a topic. Also in MCQs when visit again and press submit button, instead of showing 'Already Submit' It aids number of attempts.

Seriously needs lots of fixing! The search is very unsatisfying, it'll yield 0 results and suddenly 1000 results will pop out. The web query system need fixing too!

Nice app. But I think some unnecessary characters can be remove helping free flow of reading while watching the lecture video. Thank you

Don't know why it always says "you're in offline mode" when I'm already online and searching for courses.

It won't allow searching--keeps telling me I'm in offline mode. May be a great App but I have no way to know.

Great for watching edX videos on the go. Functionality is understandably limited when compared to full web version. Navigation is clunky (could use menus from all screens to navigate quickly, instead of wearing out the back arrow).

There are issues with exercises, where the page redirects to the web version. Other than that a great free app. Thank you for making knowledge free.

Sometimes it hangs when applying facets. And video should have higher speed options. Other than that it's ok

This is a blessing that these courses are free but, just do one thing this app is working slow, it takes time to load I have made sure that its not my network or internet so plz if u guys can do this then it would really help me and others. I'm never gonna uninstall this app.

The mind is a terrible thing to waste! With edx I can continue to challenge myself on my time and my pace, without spending money on classes I may not have time to even go to.

Started out ok but now it's stuck on week 1 and there is no way that I can find to move on to week 2 even though week 2 started 3 days ago. It also doesn't seem to keep up if you work on other devices.

Amazing app! This is the best app for learning and here they also provide certificate to the all courses by taking money(for certificate only) thank you for creating such a good app for learning.

Very useful app. It has really opened my understanding and challenged me to not only use my phone to socialize but also learn & also grab some certificate to update my CV. Thanks edX

This one is amazing educational app. There is just one glitch. Sometimes downloading the contents stops and then it never resumes.

Constantly says I'm in offline mode whilst searching for courses. I'm connected to the internet via WiFi or mobile data if needed.

No!!! Why did you remove the video tab, I want the old version back?! Now I have to go into each course and delete the videos when I am done. This is a very bad change.
