Tower

Used with galaxy s7 plus 433khz telementry straight to phone via OTG. Works brilliantly however I would love if you could simulate the drones movement before a mission. I sometimes make long missions with various ROIs and it gets confusing as where exactly the drone will be pointing. Any chance this could be a future feature? Great App otherwise!

I'm using Samsung S6 Edge+. Recently the app is not displaying Home, Land, Pause, Auto, Follow modes after Takeoff or Auto is selected. Used to display these modes but they are not showing now. Maintain as Disarm, Takeoff, Auto modes only. Please bring back these modes. It's a great app.

Latest version has some bugs.. RSSI is no longer reporting, occasionally seems to crash to desktop when switching from Sending mission data - vehicle data. Otherwise it's great, just really needs the bugs fixed and it to work with some of the other 'older' tablet versions like Samsungs Tab's which aren't running the 'latest' versions of Droid.

Works great. You should have named it something which is actually possible to search for though. Searching for tower you don't show up, searching for droidplanner you do. Oops.

New update keeps crashing when u you attempt to import files.

Switch to loiter then in a few minutes, hearing tower saying Mode Land and copter decreasing altitude, then hurry my ass to regain control... Any one knows what triggers Land Mode?

I have to tried the new updated of tower, but i cant find compass calibration. Anyone can show me where is it?

I was previously using mission planner on PC, sure it has better functionality but this app preforms better at what it offers. All the features are great, follow me worked terrific, mission setup is easy, and the flight mode commands are very nice. Completely eliminates the need of a controller! It preforms autoland better than mission planner somehow, it does a very smooth touchdown at the end. My only complaint is that it doesn't offer PIDs or Compass calibration.

Great app idea if it actually worked! Tab A 7". Upon connecting UDP, the app freezes and closes. I don't know why developers don't test this stuff more adequately before releasing. It's full of awesome ideas, but when it doesn't work all it is to me is a tease! Get it together guys.

Is there any way to make the video feed larger than half a screen? I.e take up the whole screen with data superimposed lilt seen with dji and solo?

Works great on Sammy Galaxy S4 - 7" (SM T-330). HEADS UP!!! you do NOT need Bluetooth box. you can connect to hk 433mhz telemetry radio for APM using the supplied micro usb cable with the same tablet as i mentioned above. i was lead to believe that i needed the quanum Bluetooth telemetry box. my quanum box turned out to be faulty only giving me less than 10 meters rang on the telemetry up link, so i tried the cable and shazaam it worked. so anyone else out there, be sure to check if your device can actually power usb devices (i think its called a usb host) before buying the extra Bluetooth connection that you may not need. GL & HF

one think to add on my wishlist is a structure scan that is made of 4 or more way points. i want it to work just like the standard structure scan but so that i can scan a rectangular area

It works very well on my N7 tablet, but it doesn't work at all. Some functions (arm, take off, land, and others) aren't working on phone. I used it on the same drone.

Video stream for custom APM builds and it will be a 5 star for me.

Excellent app which works very well with my various drones equipped with APM and Pixhawk flight controllers.

does not let you use google sattalite maps.. you have to sign up for paid maps with this map service that no one knows about...hard to do... just make it so you click a download button of the whole state you are in.... now my map tiles i took weeks to get and put in the map folder dont even work for tower anymore.. so telemetry is worthless if you dont use a phone thats paid for.. you need a wifi signal to get maps.. not cool guys fix it

where can i get help using this app im having issues with aiming the camera . structure scanner camera changes position with out me . drone don't face correct way to get image shots . when using way points having issues getting that nice smooth video like in all of 3dr's videos i don't think anything is wrong with the software but to find help is impossible no videos no tech support so im hoping that here someone can assist will give 5 stare once i know how to use it

This is why I love 3DR...the app just keeps getting better and better. When Solo came out I was afraid this would be dropped...(I have an Iris+)...nope...in fact the opposite...they integrated Solo support into Tower. Keep up the amazing work! Ive had a few crashes from my own errors...yet this thing just keeps on going and in the past 8 months have only needed a single prop change. (Yes not related to the app)

Please read Devs!!! I really enjoy this app, it helps me get some work done around clients property quickly and efficiently. The one thing I really have to stress is the ability to pause and resume a survey. Say for instance I'm surveying 65 acres but a full battery only gets me about 40 acres of coverage. There should be a way to pause return to home swap batteries and then resume my survey. This small feature would greatly increase the efficiency and likelihood of farmers adopting the solo over fixed Wing applications because then you get the stability and cost-effectiveness of your platform with flight times necessary to complete big jobs and only needing multiple batteries.

Great App. Is there any chance to get life video from GPro camera if I don't have Solo?

Please add mag calibration support. It's something that keeps me having to use the desktop client even when out.

Fantastic BUT one of the NAV parameters cannot be changed with the Rover Pixhawk Firmware. It's the one that controls the 'aggression' of the turn. I am trying to tune my rover and this is an inconvenience. Cheers, Mike
