Colour Wheel for Android
Excellent app, missing two important features. 1st, an input box where you can type in the hex code you want, which will then point to that color on the wheel. 2nd, adding fine-tuning arrows, which should work like this: hue, saturation or value are incremented one pixel by tapping an up or down arrow. So if I tap the "value" slider, the arrows now move "value" +1 or -1. Then I tap the "saturation" slider, and now the arrows change that. Other than these two changes, which I'd be happy to pay $1 for in a premium version, awesome app!
Great job! All those users insisting on "red-green" should study the correct color theory- pls do not "back to school" :)
It's great and very useful BUT I would really, REALLY love it if I could type in the color instead of just hoping I get the right number after a good half hour of making the tiniest of movements.
I wish the name of the color mix could be a little bigger. It is very difficult to read because of it's size.
It's a good base for approximate colors but would be so much better if I could type in the custom color code I need for an exact match.
Really handy to have sitting in front of my graphics tablet unter my main monitor. However the triad option shows the pallet for the current split complementary which is a bit annoying but not major. Would like to be able to change the colour code to rgb values. Would also love to be able to see pale/desaturated colours along side more saturated ones. But as is, it works for my needs, so thanks very much!
Using it everyday. Very useful. You have the hex codes on screen, very comfortable. I preferred it to others because can show more color combinations rules. Only one thing, could be better if the little circle indicators can be more visible, because some times I have difficulties to find them. Super app for designers and web masters. I recommend it 5*****
This is a great, lightweight, simple color wheel that has the typical color palette tools. It does not allow RGB values of the colors, or the HSV, two features which i would like in an app, but it would well and does what it says it does.
Red should be opposite to green, but its offset. Traditional complementary colors don't show up on this wheel
I am looking for similar something to assist me in my digital painting, the color designation doesn't relate to rgb or hsv that I can tell so not suitable for my purposes. I am not sure what the numbers relate to
I like the concept but it stopped responding the first time I used it so I had to uninstall it. Please fix this issue.
What happened to the primary colours Magenta, Cian and Yellow. And the complementary colour are all wrong, all other combinations are also wrong. What a shame!
I paint 28mm toy soldiers semi-professionally, and this app has been a godsend for figuring out tricky and/or unique color schemes.
Simple, easy to use, great functionality, small footprint. What's not to love?
Only two minutes out the box and I am impressed with the UI and the app. A little more accuracy with color theory seems necessary with complimentary and split complimentary color schemes.
I am fashion challenged. Recently an image consultant recommend I get a color wheel to help me put outfits together. This app is a great help! Simple and easy to find complimentary colors.
It's a good base for approximate colors but would be so much better if I could type in the custom color code I need for an exact match.
It's been very useful quite easy to use. However I would add an extra function of allow you to manually search for colors by entering the numbers and allowing for fine tuning.
Solid, easy to use, and clearly models HSV changes - so clearly I used it to teach my 3-year-old about how colors are 'made'. Great tool.
Lots of work put into this, really fun to play with. Eager to see it grow; saving palettes would be a nice addition soon. Note 3
Clever app, very helpful. Could have some more features but that doesn't matter because it's free. Download if you do art or design.
Wish there was a way to choose more colors
Perfect for my needs. Runs grate on my tablet. Feature request: Option to enter primary color directly and calculate the other colors based on that.
Either it is that i have not figured it out yet or a great idea is to be able to type in the color code and letting the app mark it out on the outstanding UI.
If you are an artist, designer or crafter you will find this an indispensable tool! Working great on my Galaxy Tab4 .
Out of all the color wheel apps in the store I perfer this one the most. It doesnt over complicate things. Is simple and to the point. Has great tools to help find good color combinations. If i could change anything it would be the ability to choose one of your "secondary" samples as your main color. Sometimes when im looking for a certain tone i see it in the color boxes below but when you click it, it only shows the number. Thank you for creating such a helpful app.
I'd like to be able to enter color codes. Sometimes I'll get a company color but I can't enter it to see the Triad or Complmentery matches.
It sure what it says. You can adjust colors perfectly and it goes to multiple levels on the color wheel.
Let's you choose the color you want to work with and helps you figure out what other colours work with it.
I love this app and use it all the time when working on my digital art. I especially love the ability to see the code for each color so i can type it into photoshop and get it immediately. My only problem is though, I would love if we could type the code for a color into the app. So if I have a certain color and want to find a complimentary bit for it, I can just enter the color in instead of noodling around until I get something close. I can deal with it, Im a big girl, it's merely a suggestion, great job
Works great, looks great and simple to use.
I tried a few apps and this is way out in front....developer says "work in progress". If we get any more functions I'd give the app 6 stars.
Lovely app for discovering coordinating colors. Is there a way to copy the color codes to the clipboard? Or change between code types (HEX, RGB, etc)? I would also like the ability to type in the primary color or pick from a photo.
Wish my phone was bigger, or I could figure out how to make the swatches bigger. Android mini screen gives some numbers and letters, a tini border of the color if you choose to ask for more that two co-ordinating colors. Also I would love to see this for Kindle Fire. Bigger screen!
The app is great! So easy to use but i have the same problem like people have, when I choose other harmony it freeze my phone. I have Samsung tablet...
Had a bit of trouble with this app at first but it seems to be fine now.
Unlike other apps, its just quick and simple.
