About SmoothSync for Yahoo!® Calenda

SmoothSync for Yahoo!® Calendar syncs your Yahoo!® calendars. Due to its implementation as sync adapter it integrates seamlessly with the native calendar app and widgets and operates invisible in the background.

Important note for Android 4.1.x and Samsung users: To prevent the removal of your accounts on reboot install this app:

This bug affects users of Android 4.1, 4.4 and all Samsung users.

This app does not contain a calendar user interface, it syncs to your device's stock calendar app. To do so it will create new calendars (one for each calendar in your Yahoo! account)

Yahoo Groups calendars are currently not supported!

If you find a bug, please send us an email. Without detailed error description we often can't do anything especially when we can't reproduce it.

Important! If your phone removes the accounts on reboot, move the App back from SD card to the phone. Some phones (if not all) can't handle sync adapters on SD Card properly.

Please watch out for the calendar selection field when you create a new appointment. It may default to your Google calendar instead of your Yahoo! Calendar (and the app won't sync events in the Google calendar)

Features:
* two-way-sync
* supports multiple accounts
* multiple calendars per account
* automatic calendar discovery
* imports calendar names and colors
* syncs multiple alarms (Yahoo->Phone, Yahoo does not show alarms created by this app yet)
* time zone support
* customizable sync interval (default: 6h, local changes will be synced almost immediately)
* customizable sync range
* supports Yahoo! tasks

I am using aCalendar app for accessing and updating my Yahoo Calendar. In order to sync properly I have been using Smoothsync for Yahoo Calendar, plus JB workaround for Yahoo. Both work fine on my Samsung Galaxy S6. However, it's not working on my Galaxy Tab. I have the Nook version of the Tab2. I need help in determining what I'm doing wrong. Thank you.

Hate it. Waste of my time. First, it doesn't work. I can only get to the settings page but there's no place to run the actual application itself. Second, it requires me to first download two other applications to make it run. What? One of the applications it says I must download fiirst is because it's says I'm running Jelly Bean version 4.0, when I'm actually running 5.0 Android. So why does it say I need to download an application work around in order to get it to work on Jelly Bean?

This works for Hub and Calendar on Priv but it really has a problem if you change your password. It wants you to enter it over and over. It's been two days and I hope the message stops coming up that it doesn't work unless I reenter it. Edit....right now you can accept a notice from someone but Not even add someone to your own calender event.

I synced both ways on one of my phones. It was convenient. Then but NOT because of this app, my S5 had a malfunction. My phone erased my calendar, then because of the two way sync that I chose, my server erased its data too. I had to rebuild my server calendar. I like the app, but now I only sync it one direction (from my server to my phone).The app does the job its supposed to do. One more thing..... I believe you must choose your sync option at time of initial setup. You cant change it later.

Just downloaded the app. Realised I had the same issue as Kari but it is not because of the app. I discovered that the time de-sync was due to the settings in Yahoo Calendar itself. By default it is set to UTC/GMT, that's why. Now the painful thing is after setting it to my local time zone, all my entries advanced by eight hours. Moving forward be sure to set Yahoo Calendar to the correct time zone before use. If Yahoo can see this, can they make Yahoo Calendar tap on the PC or device date/time settings instead of having a separate setting in itself. Else users who are not aware of this will face the same problem.

I tried all the free apps and none of them worked. This works great, I'm able to sync my Yahoo calendar to my Android phone and vice-versa. The app lives up to its name.

The app was what I needed, it loaded great, synced great, everything is there, syncs both ways.... thought I found the perfect app until I realized all the times were wrong. Went to my phone settings to see if that was the problem:nope. Went to app settings: nope. Tried to rig it so it was a different time zone to match what it should be, but then that messed up the syncing to my lap top. Everyone seems to love this, so I'm guessing it's operator error, but I sure can't find it! Any help?

Love it...been trying to find a way to sync my yahoo calendar to my galaxy note for the longest.. This is it. Synced with no problems at all. Now I don't have to go online to my yh calendar to look for birthdays or events.. Great app. Thanks.

Current version does not sync properly. On the calendar, go to an event already created in yahoo calendar, delete it, go back to the calendar and the event has gone. Refresh and the event reappears. There does not seem to be any way of deleting an event. Go to the desktop version of the yahoo calendar the events are not present, so they have been deleted ok. Return to the phone, do a sync and the events are still there. At the moment the app is virtually useless. Emailed the developers but no response.

I've had this app for a few years and have recently upgraded my phone. I am now unable to get my calendar from one yahoo account. I've also discovered that at some point when adding events into my calendar new calendars we created so I now have approximately 20 yahoo calendars on one email account. This is very frustrating!!!

Don't know how I would get along without it. I share an email account with some people when I only want them to be able to see certain parts of my calendar, and I can select which accounts show and sync which tasks. Brilliant! Thank you so much!

I have been looking for an app like this for so long. So nice to have my yahoo calendar on my Android devices. Took about 3 minutes to install, setup and sync. Send me an email if you are in town and I will buy you dinner!

The App works exactly as it says and is very easy to setup, however I selected one way sync on setup by mistake and now it won't let me change it back to two wasy sync?

Easy setup, syncs both ways. Occasional hiccups, but overall does what I want it to do: puts my Yahoo calendar on my Galaxy S3. Couldn't find another app to do that.

Thank you thank you!!! How easy this was thanks to this great app. I love my yahoo calendar and I didn't want to be forced to rely on Google for anything but a junk email for Google play. You saved the day. This is so cool.

I've been checking every few months for an app that will allow me to import my Yahoo calendar into my Android phone for years. The ONE thing that I think Yahoo does well is their calendar. Much better than Google's. Unfortunately the only way to access it on my phone has been via web interface until I found this app. The app works flawlessly for me and now, not only do I get my calendar on my Android phone, but it works with Google Now to get notifications and directions for upcoming appointments.

I just got my new galaxy s 5 and have been trying to configure everything...one of the most important things to me is having access to my calendar on the go. I have been using yahoo for YEARS and wanted to sync my calendar to my phone, and thought I found the solution with this app. So far it only seems to sync from my desktop TO my phone, and not the other way around. I have tried adjusting the settings, and even exchanged emails with support. Does anyone know a way around this? UPDATE: thank you marten for this...I think I have it fixed!!

K70%

This is just the app I've been looking for! I am so glad you developed it! One thing I noticed is when setting a date on Yahoo Calendar using my mobile device, it only allows me to set a notification and not an email.
