About SmoothSync for Cloud Calendar

SmoothSync for Cloud Calendar syncs your iCloud calendars and reminders. Due to its implementation as sync adapter it integrates seamlessly with the native calendar app and widgets and operates invisible in the background.

Also, check out SmoothSync for Cloud Contacts to sync your iCloud contacts!

Important note for Android 4.1 and Samsung users: To prevent the removal of your accounts on reboot install this app (before you install SmoothSync):
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.dmfs.jb.workaround.icloudcalendar

Please note that there is a new issue in Android 4.4: http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=66905
It causes accounts to be removed when an app is updated. Installing the workaround app should help.

Get support and news via email or via Twitter at https://twitter.com/SmoothSync

The app is designed to be as user friendly as possible. So, just enter your account data, select your calendar and SmoothSync will keep your calendars in sync.

This app will create new calendars on your device (one for each calendar in your iCloud account). It will not sync calendars of other account (like Google) to iCloud.

Please, if you find a bug send me an email. Without detailed error description I often can't do anything especially when I can't reproduce it.

Important! If your phone removes the accounts on reboot, move the App back from SD card to the phone. Some phones (if not all) can't handle sync adapters on SD Card properly.

The last screen shot shows the calendar selection dialog of the event editor of the stock calendar app.

Thanks to the guys at http://www.busymac.com/ for their support!!

One of the main reasons I have never made the switch to Android is the lack of cross-platform synchronization. This app fixed my woes and works flawlessly. Big thanks to the developer!

by N####:

This app is beyond awesome as it allows me to fully view iCloud calendars directly on my android device. I originally had an issue with constant login requests though it appears it only happens on one particular network that seems to have some network restrictions in place. So, I wanted to correct my review with my latest findings. Thanks to the devs for providing a service Apple refuses to provide themselves.

I don't usually review apps, but Marten Gajda did such a great job with this one that I can't recommend it highly enough. If you work primarily with a Mac, this will sync your calendars via iCloud seamlessly. You can even download Marten's "OpenTasks" app to sync tasks from Reminders. In addition to their great utility, both apps are also intuitive to use and visually delightful in design, which is why I'm giving this review 5 stars. And for less than $3? Total steal. Thanks Marten!

This app was invaluable when I switched from Apple to Android. Started getting 'buggy' and has now stopped working altogether. Email to support get an automated response and then nothing. Time to find a working alternative that has been updated more recently than Dec '14. Save your money !!

Just installed on my HTC OneM8 to sync 'Google' calendar with my iCloud(Apple) calendar on my iPad and PC. Entered my iTunes Account and selected the iTunes calendar items to sync and let it do it's thing and Hey Presto it works! When I opened my Google calendar it was full with iCloud dates. BRILLIANT!!!!! Well worth paying for!

Absolutely fantastic! I've just changed from iPhone to Samsung and needed to get my work calendar transferred. This app allows me to keep using my iCal on my Mac and be able to view and edit it on my Samsung. Tried everything and after all attempts failing, this app worked! Highly recommended! Thank you so much ????

Hi there since my Samsung was upgraded to the latest Nougat firmware, my sync with my wife's iOS calendar has not been working properly. I have to keep going into the smooth sync app to unclick and click the calendar to sync in order for it to do so properly. This is really annoying as I don't know whether my calendar is accurate when I glance at it. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it doesn't make a difference. Please could you fix the issue as it's become quite debilitating for diary use.  Thank you  Paul

I would like a refund as promised. I am stopping payment at my bank. It should not have come to this. I regret not knowing how to reach the developer privately. I didn't want this to be public, since they have very good ratings. I have a Note 5 and an iPad. I wanted to sync the icalendar to the Android phone. It won't allow it, it keeps saying that my Apple ID and my password are incorrect. I really wanted it to work, I'm disappointed. And now the refund button has been switched for an uninstall button making me feel like I'm being taking advantage of.

Just swapped from iOS to android and use the Apple Calendar on work iPad and Mac. Tried the various "import from here, paste there... etc" methods but none of them sync. Just downloaded SmoothSync, put in my details, two factor authentication app specific password, ticked the calendars I need to sync and done! Edit on my android, and it will change on all apple devices! Great work!

Needed to setup a shared calendar with devout Apple users who refuse to use Google calendar. I'm just as devout with Google calendar and Android. They created a shared icloud calendar and, thanks to this app, I am able to sync against it. Well, well, well worth the small price.

This would be a five star rating but unfortunately you don't get notifications of added events to the calender. I have a family account setup with Apple which I and my wife use to sync our calenders. If my wife adds something her end, I don't get a notification, it'll just appear. Other than that small gripe, this works very well. I have used it now for over a year and will continue to do so.

I made the switch from iPhone to Android and worried about staying part of the family iCalendar. Searching the web was not encouraging. Then I stumbled on this app and have been absolutely delighted. Great job!

Used to be great. Now doesn't sync all my calendars. Emailed support but wasn't helpful at all. Yes, I have enabled 2 step authorization. Have uninstalled app and switched to Outlook for syncing iCloud calendars.

The app hasn't been updated since 2014. It hasn't auto-synced on my phone for almost a year. I did reach out to the dev, but it took them 4 weeks to even respond, and then I heard nothing further when I responded. I've since uninstalled the app and used another that is FREE and works perfectly! Disappointing for a paid app.

Not only does this app not work. Their support is also horrible. I've sent 3 messages to the support and have had no reply. Thumbs down!

Just bought the note 4 and it will not auto sync. Settings are correct, but still not working. And the service here are super slow. I can't recommend it anymore...

I have a I phone and Android and wanted to find ways of keeping both in sync. I looked everywhere for apps but one app only copied them across and didn't sync them, another didn't do anything at all. After much deliberation I chose to install Smoothsync and im glad I did. Install, log into apple ID and choose the I cloud calendars to sync. within a few seconds my I cloud calendars were in my Android device. Tested by adding a entry in my iphone and again within a few seconds it was on my Android...Perfect!

I just switched from Apple to Android and was having trouble syncing up my calendars. I never used the Google calendar before so basically all of my appointments were on my iCal. I just downloaded this and all of my iCal events were easily added to my Android calendar app. So far everything is working well!

This app was my saviour syncing my iCal with my Note. But in the last week it has started forgetting all settings whenever my phone is turned off or goes flat. I've been using this app for years with no trouble. Why has this started now!?

K70%
by K####:

I was very excited to find this app as I use both Android & Apple devices, however, it did not work with my Samsung Galaxy stock calendar. I could only send info one way (from iPad to phone), which is useless to me. I need an app that can sync in both directions. Wish I hadn't paid for this! Waste of money.

Z70%

Syncs my iCal to my android calendar, and my Mac/iOS reminders to the Tasks app, and most importantly, they are both 2-WAY sync! Usually interfacing between apple and android requires many workarounds and compromises, but this app simply and beautifully provides cross-platform synchronization. I almost never pay for apps, but this one is soooo worth it. Thanks!

It syncs very well and seamless but there is one major Problem. I use this application to sync my android phone to a work iCloud calender that my manager shares with me and the rest of my team. For some reason, the events that have already been on the calender appear 1 hour ahead of their start time on my phone. For example if EVENT A is scheduled to start at 8AM on the iCloud calender my Manager shares, it appears on my phone as starting at 9AM. Any events that are added by my manager after I was shared onto the calender appear in the correct start times. But any event that was scheduled prior to I being shared on the calender appears to have a Start time 1 hour ahead. I have a SAMSUNG NOTE 5 by the way. Please offer your opinion as to why this happens. I assume the program thinks the end time of the event is where it begins on my phone.

Never had a problem with this app till recently. It claims I'm on jellybean, which I'm not. I then started getting a notification to set my password over and over and last, stopped syncing. I'm on a Samsung s7 edge.

I cannot believe that you sold my calender information. I am now getting invites from individuals about deals forced in my calender. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Using this app I quickly was able to establish a back and forth communication between iTunes calendar on my MacBook Pro and my android phone calendar. Worked fast and has some nice controls. Highly recommend it for hybrid google/apple people like me.

I have a Samsung S4 mini and can't get it to allow my apple ID. Saya it failed. I have it on several other devices and no problems. Can't get it on a Galaxy S5 now either.

I am always wary of providing login and password information to third party applications, especially with how prolific Apple ID hacks are happening in recent times. However, this application worked flawlessly on first install and perfectly supports Apple's two-step verification and "Application Specific" passwords. This application has been masterfully engineered.

Works, but keeps asking for my password again and again (and only for the lulz, because it will remain working if I ignore those warnings). How the hell do I stop that?

The app works seamlessly with my ICloud Calendar on my IMac and IPad Mini. No complaints with 2-way sync - works perfect. I was required to download an additional free app to accompany this app as a workaround for a bug issue they found when rebooting your phone. No biggie, well worth the cost!
