If you want to blow Droid48 out of the water fix the freezing issue on my galaxy s7. I all i want for christmas is to be able to use my hp48sx on my phone without it freezing again.

Keyboard response is poor on Pixel 2 Android 8. Haptic touch responds but does not register keystroke unless you hold the key for too long. Please fix, otherwise this would be a great app and worth buying.

An excellent free HP48SX emulator. The memory is expandable from settings which emulates 128k RAM cards. Furthermore the memory can be protected by the save checkpoint option. If the calculator crashes or otherwise locks up simply use restore checkpoint. Save and restore checkpoint ought to have been on the original! Excellent on multiuser devices. All app data is kept in the user's Android/data/ directory. No interference from another user. Many apps store part of their data in /data/data/ which is a device wide location. This one does not do that.

to emulate the 48. Very responsive. I'm a fast typer. And it also accepts external programs, which is essential for what I need. Some minor bugs, like the DEL key doesn't work.

Well getting it to work on a S7 is frustrating, I can only load simple programs. Then I have to use a backup point, I too wish to pay for a useable version, with Samsung. Hopefully next time it freezes I will be able to reset and restore my backup point.... testing. :-)

Great to have 48sx again. There is a problem when entering matrix. For me the app always freezes. As soon that is fixed it gets five stars!

Keeps on freezing on S7 edge every 4-5 operations... Unusable and frustrating. I want to like this app though. A pity

Been using this app for several years. However lately it has been freezing more often than not. Currently unusable. Sadly, I think the developer has moved on.

Display is black today, not sure why. Just like a real one with a broken screen. Reinstalled, now it works.

Disappointingly, this apps hangs more often than not on my Note 5.

RPN is different, but once learned you'll never want to go back. This app is just what's needed at the right price.

Great app! The best choice if you're looking for an HP emulator or any RPN calculator

I have tried a few HP48 apps but this one has worked the best on every phone I have installed it on.

The recent update fixes the problems on many devices. It works on OS's up to Marshmallow. The calculator keyboard is fixed so the α keys are visible. Most of the menu is replaced by a toolbar. To toggle the toolbar touch the calculator screen. The toolbar is a bit tricky. The Garbage can on the far left is Full reset. The circle next to it is Restore checkpoint. The box with a plus sign is Save checkpoint. The gear wheel is settings. The three vertical dots are the remaking menu items, Put program on stack and Quit. Save Checkpoint takes a complete picture of everything. Restore checkpoint restores the last snapshot saved by Restore checkpoint. This makes the app excellent for recovering from a crash. No other HP-48 emulator can do this.

When a crash happens hit Restore checkpoint. The calculator will be restores to the last checkpoint save, the HOME directory, Ports 0, 1, 2, the stack, flags, PICT, etc. No clearing out and reloading. It multiuser devices, Each user uses this app independent of any other user because ALL of the data is stored to the user's Android/data/ directory.

The app is great! Very stable and emulates very well the original device. It has only two issues. First; The Del button stop working, it doesn't remove the stack. Second; save and restore point are not working. Hope these can be fixed.

I love this app. Thank you. One thing is it seems to lock up on a nexus5x 6.0.1 after a bit of use. Have to reboot the app. You mention you have not tested on a 5x but if you get a chance please fix the lock up. Thanks again.

Have been using it for a long time. Almost perfect. It's truly free, no ads. Install this app and you can ignore all other calculators in Android.

Have both original sx & gx but this is easier to carry. Works great so far on LG Stylo w/ 6.0. Haven't entered programs yet. Thankya for yer effort.

I do prefer the original droid48, due to the "not bitmaps, actual buttons" keyboard. BUT, as this one (droid48sx) can actually be used, as opposed of droid48, which freezes every time, kudos, thanks and 4 stars.

This app crashes on Samsung S7 edge. When it does run it is very nice.

I own an HP48G, and it's great to essentially have it always with me now with this app. I love the hi-res buttons and ability to reset the calculator via the menu. Works great on my Galaxy S7!

Thanks! Almost brought a tear to my eyes ;-) Still the best calculator ever, and the lack of haptic feedback compared to the original hardware is somewhat compensated for by the speed of a modern smartphone.

On the last update it now locks up with a black Lcd display.

.. None of which were mentioned at installation. This is likely trojan ware.. There also seems to be a name change internally. Can't locate it on my Netguard. Deleting without running.

Unfortunately it freezes on my galaxy s6.

Beautiful UI, works perfect. Would you mind to also implement the GX variant? ;-)

As a HP owner I love this app. Much more handy than the other emulators. Would be nice similar of 49g or 50g.

Freezes all the time

Just like my old HP. Fast and easy to use!

I use it on Android 2.2.2 and it works perfectly.

Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't and right now it doesn't.
