WU CM Weather Provider for Android
Keyword: cyanogenmodweatherprovider
complicated steps to get weather report, better to use any other weather apps
Clunky to set up but works fine
It's showing 'sunny' during night time instead of 'clear sky'
Why does it require me to set up a separate account? Far too much work.
"Can't reach Weather Underground at the moment."
You plan to have only 1 provider or... ?
So many steps to get the weather. I gave up and uninstalled.
because I gave up trying to set it up. Way to much hassle to get it running.
:-(
How do I change it? Fahrenheit doesn't mean anything to me where I live..
Why do we need an account and a key to get weather? Other apps do this seamlessly...
This app is way too complicated to use.
Finally happy to have weather back although sometimes the location is a bit off. I wish there was a way to change weather settings such as location, interval, icons, etc. Without having to make a new cLock widget each time.
The notification panel shows Fahrenheit only.. Whether I set it to Celsius or not...
WU is fun. API keys are fun, too.
"can't reach weather underground at the mom". I'm on the latest CM nightly and have registered an API key
Hit WU 35 times, gave data to the system 0 times.
It's a weather widget, not a personal tracker. If I can't just get the weather from this, I don't need it.
Though I got a key by signing up, But why is user registration required for all users ? I'm not a developer just a Cynogen fan.
Does not have so many locations yet, only main cities. Also it only shows 3 days forecast, hope in future it will be more customisable.
Took a whole 3min to setup the API. But finally a reliable weather source for CM13! Great job. If you can't handle a few experimental changes you have zero reason to be using a nightly build in the first place. Idiots may not be able to handle this. Beware! LOL
Way too much messing about just to get the weather. Met-Office weather widget for UK is a million times better. American developers just don't seem to "get it".
I consider this a major downgrade from what was really easy and quick to set up straight out of the box back in CM12, to what's now an extra hurdle of having to sign up for yet another account in order to get an API to finally get the weather forecast. Save your time and frustration and go with third-party weather/clock widgets while this weather provider issue in CM13 is addressed...
Unable to authenticate (api key). Nice job CM!
Pathetic. Not recommended. Insane that CM thought this unfriendly, overly complex situation is required for something as simple as weather.
Not rocket science to set up. After getting key. Weather updated a couple times then fails over and over. Hope a different server is found because WU is not accurate. Keep trying.
Got it working with current location only and in high accuracy mode. That too much of a hassle just to get the weather. Already had the API before as I've been using it in Tasker profiles :)
It is a bit cumbersome to set up an API key, though once you set up a key, you can reuse it across multiple devices with family and friends. After an API key is set up, it seems to work reliably. To initially fetch the weather before the hourly interval, I had to switch the cLock weather fetching to manual and then back to automatic. I've been using it for a day now and it updates hourly as I've configured my weather widget. I expect more weather providers to become available as time progresses.
The number of steps to go through is insane! Better to just ask google from time to time.. Though once you set it up it works fine
Hard to setup and once setup inaccurate as weather underground has always been. Surely there was another weather provider that CM could have enabled first?
Too much work for an unreliable weather service. Use something else is my recommendation
No Celsius in the notification drawer and cLock shouldn't be the app to handle the system's weather unit.
Went through a long way just to get the api.. Once I get the api, I can use it to configure in Weather setting..and I had to switch to cLock widget to show the weather.
Status bar after pulldown only shows Fahrenheit. In the past with Yahoo Weather or OpenWeather, it shows Celsius when determined in settings.
Way too many steps and who wants to register with their information and create an account to see the temperature? Shame
Simple to use, does its intended job perfectly. Can now connect any Weather Underground account to your CM phone and start using it in widgets such as cLock. Brilliant! Looking forward to more weather providers based on this reference implementation.
I would give this plugin more but Location searchs show 8 towns with the same name and nothing else (ie state/country) do i start guessing which one to select? Also have emailed dev to ask that Weather Stations that report to WU can be used as a location, using their WU ID. Still awaiting response from email. Its not hard to reply!
Easy to setup after all if u did install the cm13 rom by ur self this will be a peace of cake, and Only 3 days forecast ? Please extend it to 5 days or maybe more maybe with the OpenWeatherMap api ?
Doesn't shows the images (cloud, sun, rain, etc.) representing weather conditions most of the times. Shows a big orange question mark instead.

Too complicated for common users who only need the weather widget function. Too much steps needed.
