Robben Island Museum

The Robben Island Museum App was developed to offer users around the globe an opportunity to experience and explore the Island’s multi-layered history and sites. Utilizing this user-friendly App, users can browse through various historic sites, buildings, artefacts and exhibitions. This will give them valuable insight into the role and deep significance the Island has to South Africans and the rest of the world.
Robben Island has served many purposes: a pantry, a millitary fortification, a prison and finally a symbol of freedom from oppression and a triumph of the human spirit. Not only will the historical facts educate the user, but leave them with a sense of liberation, reconcillation and reflection.
