Frederic Remington Art Museum

The Frederic Remington Art Museum, in Ogdensburg, NY boasts the largest collection of original art by Frederic Remington,(1861-1909) famed Illustrator, painter and sculptor. Established surrounding the gift of the artist's widow Eva's holdings,the museum is on Remington's home turf, Northern New York. In addition to 17 original sculptures, and dozens of paintings and drawings spanning his career, the museum features the stunning, late nocturne paintings. You will also find Remington’s sketchbooks, notes, easel, paintbrushes, sculpting stand, ​books ​and photographs.

In the "Remington Art" app there are three tours to explore the various technique and style. "Remington Masterpieces" allows the user to view some of the finest oil paintings and bronze sculptures in our collection, "Remington Selections" ​provides an overview of the artist's career and "Horse Studies"​ explores Remington's various painterly styles in portraying ​horses.
