About ANMM
Located on Sydney’s spectacular Darling Harbour, the Australian National Maritime Museum collects, preserves and brings to life Australia’s maritime heritage and culture. The National Maritime Collection features over 140,000 objects, capturing themes such as defence, exploration, migration and coastal culture. It also includes one of the largest and most diverse in-water fleets of any museum in the world–tall ships, navy vessels, a submarine and beautifully restored historic boats.
The ANMM app takes you on a tour of some of the museum’s most popular permanent galleries, from the European era of Dutch, French and British exploration to the Australian love affair with water—as swimmers, surfers, rowers, sailors and voyagers. The app also reveals the fascinating stories behind our famous historic fleet, located right on the museum’s wharf.
