Rotation Control for Android
Works great in the notification bar, I like the semi-auto modes where it's locked to landscape but switches by 180 degress to the other landscape if you flip it. Other rotation apps have 7 days trial or need upgrade, so far this one appears clean. Thanks!
I have a Nexus 6P, and I really wanted it to feel more like a tablet by being able to rotate the home screen. I've used other apps that work, but make you manually change the orientation. This one fixes that. The Guard mode plus the auto rotate allow me to use my phone normal, sideways, even upside down! My only complaint is that I wish there wasn't a persistent notification in my tray. I wish I could just enable it in the app and leave it that way. But for now, this'll do! ☺
My prepay phone does not have rotation sensors and this app was recommended by phone mfg. It worked! I don't mind that it is manually controlled. Yeah, I would recommend it to people with cheap phones and tablets with screens that don't rotate.. It gets the job done and it's easy to use.
It does exactly what I need it to do. It locks my screen into reversed portrait mode (something missing from lollipop) and keeps it there. The only thing missing is the option to not display set settings in the notification bar. If it had that, it would be perfect.
Need to be able to rotate the lock screen as well. I have my phone in landscape so I can prop it up and charge at the same time while working but the lock screen remaining in portrait mode makes it cumbersome to unlock. Also, a few apps won't open in rotation.
The sensors on my Nexus 7 are dying so needed a software fix to rotate my screen for viewing movies and such. Only one wish though, the number of buttons in the notification is too high, if I could customize the number of buttons in the notification it'd be a lot better.
This app is about the same as similar ones. Auto rotation is often desirable in a tablet with rather extreme screen aspect ratio (height:width), unlike a smart phone. Recent apps have disabled auto rotation, and it doesn't work in this.app, either.
On LG Optimus Android 4.4 not all the orientations work. Specifically portrait (sensor) does nothing. In addition, there's no customization, for instance say I have no use for some of the other orientations there is no option to hide the orientations one hardly uses. Not bad for a free app but it doesn't exactly fit the bill either. How unfortunate.
Everything works great with this app, I feel it should have an option to flip the screen horizontally or vertically, wud work great for HUD. Like my post if u feel the same, to get the developers attention. Or if this is not at all possible let me know.
Wow.. What an app for tablets. Now i can see everything in landscape view... Really got frustrated with potrait view earlier when using other apps in my tablet. Rotation control is great app for people who really wants to skip potrait view forever for any given application. Loved it. Thank you developers.
Very simple but does exactly what it promises. Easy to understand and get working quickly. Using for my HTC which doesn't allow reverse portrait format natively and so is fairly u/s for audio recording using a plug-in stereo microphone.
This app can fix the stupid rotation that do not support landscape in Lollipop. Lollipop have many stupid issue, i think lollipop is a downgrade, its make your smatphone become stupidphone :D
My phone has a dead area on the touch-screen, which made it impossible to hit HOME, and very difficult to hit BACK. With Rotation Control, I can now operate my phone upside down. Until I can get a new phone, this app is a lifesaver. Flipping awesome! (pun intended)
I got this app so I could have my phone automatically flip upside down when I plugged my charging cable into it... BUT Portrait (Sensor) doesn't work on my Samsung Note7
This app works great! I was doing a backup because it was the only thing I could do to fix my rotation bc nothing else worked. Now I don't have to reset and best of all no permissions required.. thank u for this free app!
My Nexus 7 2013 stopped auto rotating. Very annoying because I had to reboot for portrait mode every time I played a horizontal game. This sorts it. Small install size, no permissions. Thank you.
So my screen is perfect has nothing wrong with it but just doesn't work ina certain spot. So it made it hard to click yes or no, or even type certain letters. But this app...oooh but this app. Made that possible again!!! Thank you!!
My phone's auto-rotate feature would only work if I had the phone turned clockwise, with the top side on the right, but this app allowed auto-rotate to kick in regardless of which way my phone is turned! Easy fix!
Rotates and holds everything the way you want it with a simple uncluttered interface. Great if you need to flip which side you want your headphones/charger! Also, I had problems with Nexus 6p rotation out of the box, this solves it.
After my phøne screen cracked, the tøp sectiøn øf my screen nø lønger wørked. I cøuldnt pull døwn my nøtification panel, this really helped but øne thing please, cøuld yøu add a støp buttøn at the bøttom øf the app øtherwise I will have tø restart my phøne and uninstall and reinstall the whøle app again as I accidentally press pørtrait.
Nexus hardware failure caused my tablet to stop rotating to landscape mode. This app fixed it perfectly and asked for no extra permissions, unlike other rotation apps. 5 stars all the way!
With rotation control easily accessible in the notification area, much time is saved. Often, one wishes to briefly halt rotation in order to, say, study a map in a Google Play book. This app makes that possible.
Half of my screen digitizer is damaged and this helps me rotate and lock my screen so I can still use the majority of my apps until my new phone arrives. Easy and convenient to use and works perfectly. Thank you dev!
My headphone jack is at the top of the phone and to put the pokemon go app in battery saver I need to turn it upside down. This means that it is difficult to leave the phone inside my pocket on battery saver whilst using earphones. This app solves the problem.
I give you five stars .. it helped my S4 to rotate again . Ever since I upgraded to lollipop I got a rotation problem . But now works great .*****
Great app to fix instagram's sad no rotation just got a tablet and the button's were located on the bottom and felt weird and sad instagram don't just have the simplest as the rotation so we all don't need a 3rd party app but hey y'all doing it till IG listens... and i thank y'all 5 stars!
Allows for home screen rotation automatically and as long as it ends up being free and not just a trial period it will remain 5 stars.
It does what you want. Can now play games which don't rotate screen correctly, and still be charging from the top.
Another app diagnosed faulty sensors on my aging tablet when I couldn't get the screen to rotate anymore (it was locked in portrait mode). Rotation Control provided a super easy fix. Thanks so much!
Small in size (a little over 1MB) yet works as effectively as my rotation did before it messed up. Highly recommend this if your phone / tablet doesn't want to rotate.
After dropping my phone, my camera only worked when in landscape and blacked out if it was rotated, but, I could use it in portrait if I fixed the phone's orientation to landscape (frustrating). I tried a couple of orientation apps, but the first didn't have a notification button and the second meant using its notification button to open the app - this third app is absolutely perfect with its fully operational notification menu, meaning I can apply any orientation in as little as two flicks. Thank you!
you can pick a rotation, either allow sensors to override it, or apps to override it, or neither. Works a treat on my tablet with a broken sensor; landscape when i want (from the pull down settings menu, portrait other times, and individual apps which only work in one orientation can override it if i say they can.)
Does exactly what it says, incredibly simple to use, has a ton of cool features (like the Guard feature). I'm a developer and it's annoying to have 5 or 6 phones plugged in at my desk to test with, all of which happen to have their USB ports on the bottom. By forcing a 180 degree rotation, I can run all of their cables away from me and reduce wire-tangling.
I dropped my phone a day ago and the rotation stopped working so I went on the play store and found this app, it fixed my phone and now I can just pull down the notification menu and pick what mode I want it in. BEST APP EVER!!!! Thank you for making it
Just tried this app, it's fine, just the application that's showing on the "recent app" are flipped when I'm on vertical rotation, don't know why but pretty annoying, wish I can give 4.5, I'll give 5 if it's fixed. Using Acer z500/kitkat
I tried about ten rotation apps, after careful consideration balancing needs and features, I chose this one. This gives you what you NEED, in a tiny memory and space footprint. This works with one tap for most features, and overides any rotation problems. This is created by a programmer who knows what they are doing!
My nexus accelerometer died. This app saved me from having to reboot each time I wanted to go back to portrait mode, after playing a landscape game
My phone's orientation sensor stopped working. This is the best orientation control app I have tried (4 or 5 of them). I could change orientation in 3 steps. 1. Slide down notification 2. Select orientation. 3. Collapse notification. It would be much better if the notification can automatically collapse after step 2. Or this can be made configurable. I would give this app 5 stars with this suggested feature..

Enables use of Notification bar to make change of screen orientation SO easy! Android's Auto-rotate option isn't always what I want (e.g. when lying on side, yet want screen in Portrait mode). No longer do I have to: 1) exit an app 2) go into android Settings 3) scroll to Display settings 4) scroll to Screen orientation setting 5) force screen orientation to what I want 6) exit Settings 7) relaunch original app. And laboriously go thru 1) to 7) again to reinstate Auto- rotate for normal use. Thank you!
