The Court Clerk Mobile Connect app is designed to put a wealth of court-related information at the user's fingertips and offers a variety of features that users can access, including options to search the court's electronic docket for civil and traffic cases, search the court call roster, get updated fee schedules, and locate and contact Cook County court facilities.
Court Clerk Mobile Connect features:
✔ Search docket case information within the Cook County Circuit Court system for civil case types and traffic tickets. Docket case information for civil case types will include a summary of the case, plaintiff and defendant information, attorney information, and activities on the case. Docket case information for traffic tickets will include charge information, court assignment, and fine amount.
✔ Electronic docket searches can be saved to be easily accessed in the future.
✔ Search the court call roster for cases occurring within the next five business days in the Cook County Court system for civil case types.
✔ Lookup Cook County court facilities to view location and contact information, hours of operation, and a map to the location.
✔ Get the most current fee schedule information.

Though the Court Clerk Mobile Connect App has many useful features enabling one to access valuable data with ease. It's biggest issue, also a red flag, and the reason why I won't install it is because of the insane "Permission Requirements." It has far too many permissions to your personal phone data which is an intrusion of privacy. Look through the list and ask yourself, what purpose does this serve and does it benefit the user, or the App Developers? The same applies to all Apps that request too many Permissions and Access to your phone's data. My opinion of course, but what are your thoughts? Version 1.0 can access: ~ Location ~ Approximate location (network-based) ~ Precise location (GPS and network-based) ~ Access extra location provider commands ~Phone~ ~ Read phone status and identity ~ Photos/Media/Files ~ Modify or delete the contents of your USB storage ~ Read the contents of your USB storage ~Storage~ ~Modify or delete the contents of your USB storage ~ Read the contents of your USB storage ~ Device ID & call information ~ Read phone status and identity ~Other~ ~Full network access ~View network connections ~Send sticky broadcast

This app is a functional piece of software. It does its job. I wish this app followed Android design guidelines, though. (Nexus 5)

Search by any remotely common name results in lists of 100s or 1000s of cases in no particular order that need to be viewed 50 at a time.. Cant search by more than one word in company name. Unlike clerk's website, can't even restrict results to a particular division or use first name with last. Ability to save list of cases being followed - the only useful feature of the app - seems to lose track of cases periodically. In short, this app is close to useless.

The App works better than the actual website. Everytime I search the website, no matter what I search, I get a response the first time that says "Case Number not found-Please try again." The App has produced a result every single time I have used it. Not to mention, that is it is extremely fast. Absolutely Fantastic. They should hire the techs who did this App to fix the official website.
