Ratings by Consumer Reports

I'd really like to see the same filtering capabilities be made available in the app as is available on the website.

Very handy

Over two years after my initial purchase of CR and it still is lacking the most important features I stated over a year ago. Until this app gets updated so it updates when the website is updated and magazines are published, I can't recommend this app or subscribing to Consumer Reports. It just isn't worth it. Features missing: 1. The main problem/lacking feature is that this app relies SOLELY on updates to the app itself rather than the CR website, and as a previous subscriber, I know CR went over 6 months without updating this app 2. There are no articles on the app, if I want to buy something, I want to get a good deal and making an article would help me(and others) get a better idea of items 3. No way to cancel through the app/url. You have to call up Consumer Reports just to cancel your subscription. 4. Even after purchasing it again, I still cannot see any in-depth reviews

This is a 4 star app. Sometimes it messes up so not 5 star.

Needs to be renamed to "Consumer Reports". I'm not looking for "Ratings" when I'm searching for this app in my app drawer. Otherwise, 5 stars.

Good app for getting CR's info. I don't always go with CR's recommendations, but it's a good place to start.

The Consumer Reports app is great, so informative and helpful when researching all sorts of purchases.

IT'S NOT THE APP....IT'S THE COMPANY. I have subscribed to CR for years and used them for a baseline. I have a 15 page sales leaflet I found at my post office. On the front it shows "My Pillow" ...take a closer look see page 5. What got my attention is my sleep is beyond terrible and I just bought the Standard/Queen Medium fill at Bed & Bath. This is like my 3rd night. I only woke up once. I had a total of 9 hours sleep. Normally 2 hrs. at a time is the best I get. What bothers me is that CR wrote...2/3 of our 18 staffers wouldn't buy it again. 18? Really? 18 is no kind of test group. Then their blurb says...INSTEAD.... CHECK ✔ WITH CONSUMER REPORTS TO FIND THE BEST PILLOW.....ETC. WELL GUESS WHAT? THEY DON'T EVEN RATE PILLOWS. CHECK IT OUT. PILLOW SEARCH ONLY SHOWED "PILLOW TOPS FOR MATTRESS AND MY PILLOW MATTRESS. TALK ABOUT FALSE ADVERTISING. MY SUBSCRIPTION WILL BE CANCELLED TODAY AND THIS INFO SENT TO MY PILLOW. I WILL BUY A SECOND NEXT WEEK AND MAYBE GIFT ???? ONE. SHAME OF THE LIE CR.

I have subscribed to the magazine for over 30years. I think the app is a great way to access their information.

Perfect way to look for the best bang for your buck

Solid reporting and reviews ... creates an educated consumer. Helpful for both small and large ticket items.

CR is the go to app for insights on consumer products

Very helpful when shopping for things.

Excellent interface

This is a fine app, but I would love a scanning feature. Sometimes I'm looking at a product in a store, and I want to know if it is worth purchasing. Also, it's very, very slow to load each time I open the app as it's loading new data each time. Seems like there should be a faster way to get the app up and running, especially since I'm not looking for all of the reviews all the time.

I am done with this app and apparently Consumer reports website as well. They now require separate subscription for online and mobile. Something about how some customers prefer the website over the magazine and vice versa. That is just a BS excuse to make more money off of consumers.

Not worth a subscription. Extremely limited in ratings essentiallyaking this app useless. I was expecting a much wider variety of product reviews for comparison and was shocked by the few options given to me. Overall highly disappointed that I spent money on a month subscription.

Nice for limited on the spot, at the store searching but difficult to maneuver & seems somewhat limited. Could very well be user error by me not finding the right combination of keywords. Overall decent app to keep on hand.

It's a great tool. I have subscribed to the magazine for decades, and just this year subscribed online to use the app. It's extremely handy when in a store shopping, and is much quicker than going back through previous issues trying to find a review for a product.

Awkward to maneuver around this app, clumsy antiquated search tool. Falls short of the information provided in the magazine articles. Why?

Excellent app - I downloaded when my fiance and I needed to begin purchasing appliances for our new home and put together our wedding registry. It has been part of our decision-making process from our stove to our iron to his newly leased car. Has a great comparison feature which allows you to compare up to 3 products at a time. Highly recommend!

Good app, but to charge another fee in top,9f this already high annual fee is wrong, in my opinion. I think i may unsubscribe and,wait for one of the sales offering the magazine for almost free.

This is way more efficient than searching through the magazine. Although there are items that haven't been covered, the information on what is covered is comprehensive. Consumer Reports is the best investment that I have made this year ????????

It is a limited app. They could use their own app as a portal to their own website. Strange they have this clunky app.

Great tool to have in your phone when at the store looking at something new, or an impulse purchase. Has rating scores for most things which is good to have when I want quick review and don't want to research, even though when I do review in detail, I often don't agree with the rating scores for my needs.

Very disappointed. I'm going to delete this app and use their web site. 1,000 x's better.

I don't know how I would figure out which washer and dryers has the the features I need without CR.

Terrible App. I'm shocked, it's CR. Very limited products to review. No info on many everyday items.

The filtering feature doesn't work. I'm disappointed in Consumer Reports' app quality.

Very useful to be able to access reliable reviews on the go. Helped us select a great microwave. Paid for itself with that alone!

Great app. Looking forward to seeing more consumer goods categories reviewed. I have more than saved all the years of my subscription cost by choosing items with favorable reviews.

Some one please tell me how to get to compare. It isn't to be found. Give you 5 stars if you tell me how.

App is reliable, no crashes. Good product summaries and links to "where to buy". Would like to see link to full reviews on CAR main website

Consumer Reports is great place to search and compare, almost anything, before you buy!

Great info to compare potential purchases of just about everything ratings, price, and recommendations. Appliances , electronics, cars, cable service, phones and mobile phone providers etc.

Consumer reports has reliable, independent, evaluations and it's consumer focused. The app quickly lets you view the ratings.

Have to log in every time and wait for it to download new content before opening.
