Waves app mic glitch is now fixed, as of 12/25/16!

One star becouse of one thing. I bought the app so later the same app is free to download, and the app that was free gStrings is now the one that can be purchased. Wasted my money. Edit: Without taking into consideration what is writen on top, it's a great application, for tuning anything. I'm very sorry about the first one star rating that I left but I relly din't know that i can use them both, and thank you for the reply. Kepp up the good work.

I just paid for this app. It can't find the mic I guess. Can this be fixed? If not can I have my money refunded? EDIT: Installed the update and all works fine now. The fast response and fix is great. Thanks!

Deficient only in my phone microphone's poor reading of lower octaves. Works impeccably with a contact mic!

Used to use this app frequently. Now, on my new phone, it can't access the mic, so that means no tuning for me... *Update: Fixed! It works now. Thanks!

Glad mic issue was corrected. I use it in a professional situation,I use it regularly

Bought this app, and ever few months it asks me to buy it again. And doesn't work for a while. Which I hate.

[Update 01/2017] After the Android 6.0 permissions fix all is well! ---- I've used an earlier version on a different that was very nice.

gstring was less twitchy. I am going back to using that.

Good first impression... Need to check out more to give a five. Keep it up.

This app is a 6 day trial peiod, so you better tune before that.

Doesn't pick up sound. Tried installing the newest version after reading some reviews that suggested doing that but no luck.

Mic issue has been fixed.

Wonderful app. I was in search of an app which provided good UI and an ad-free experience while I played my guitar. This app fulfilled my requirements.

Before I had said that you need to purchase both apps because the owner goes back and forth in between editing each one. This isn't true, you only need to purchase one, and both apps honor the agreement -- it even says so on the FAQ, I just don't read. This app (and gstrings) is awesome, and works exactly as intended.

Dev keeps switching back and forth between this app and gstrings as to what one will actually be supported. I had installed gstrings then had to install waves as gstrings stopped working properly. Now they decide to abandon this app in favor of the previously abandoned gstrings WTF just pick one or the other.

This was the first app I paid for, then it stopped working when I got a new phone. It still looks better than any other tuner. Really unhappy.

Microphone contantly fails to initiate. Uninstalled and installed the app several times without any luck. Installed a free guitar tuner that curremtly works...

Works great with every instrument. Love the design... and no offence to the dev, but I really prefer this to his updated gStrings. For a good tuner that loads fast, is easy to use and does a good job: Waves is it. EDIT: I had to dig around in settings to grant it mic permission on my HTC 10 on first run. 2ND EDIT: Your website is a di#k move and really unprofessional. It's time to fix it up.

Android 6.0 has app permissions that do not allow certain apps to use certain features like microphone. **FIX** 1. Go to settings. 2. Go to apps. 3. Click the little settings icon at the top. 4. Click on app permissions. 5. Go to microphone. 6. Turn on waves. 7. Tune your guitar :p Thank you devs for a great program and sorry that marshmallow causes permission issues. Have a good one all!!

So after reading everybody else comments. Found out you just need to pay for one app, and the mic needs permission from setting of the phone to initiate. 5 star if those two things are made simpler amd not as clumsy. Cheers

I wasn't happy at first when it didn't work and I thought I would have to buy a new app.. But thankfully someone else posted to go into my app setting then to the waves app and give it permission to use my mic! This is a great app! Maybe one day I will also try the new gStrings.

This app is normally GREAT on my old Galaxy S5 but this weekend I upgraded to the Galaxy S7 Edge and the app no longer works. It shows the message, "Unable to init the microphone!" Hopefully this gets fixed soon. When it works, 5 stars.

Bought it before it became Waves. Changed phone several times since. A pain to get re-registered every time. I don't have the email with the order number anymore. Don't appreciate the condescending tone in the help. I know, $3. Whatever. But going to look at something else now. Nice app otherwise.

Unable to initialize the device microphone, when app is opened. Permissions snafu. Awaiting a fix/response from developer. (Developer's gStrings tuner app is still available, and fully-functional.)

Up till last week, I really liked this app. But last week, I received a phone app update (Verizon HTC M9 Phone), and the app no longer works (mic doesn't enable). And there's no place on all which allows reporting on app problems. Tried to uninstall / RE-install several times ; same problem persists.

I put up with it. For a split second I can see the fundamental note I'm trying to tune to instead of a harmonic or something else. Then it's gone. Then back for a split second. Poor but usable. Used to be better. Also can't use it with galaxy S7.

I now have a Galaxy S6 and it refuses to recognize my mic. Any chance this could be fixed soon? I really enjoy this app since it does its job well and would like for it to be functional again.

Did you install G-strings as well? If you don't know how to use, that's on you, not the app or the developer. I'm a professional guitarist and this is the tuner I prefer.I've had no problems whatsoever with this app or G-strings.

So I go to use the app to tune my guitar before we went on stage and all of a sudden I get a pop up telling me to purchase the paid version or the gstrings app. Now I can't use the app at all unless I wanted to pay for it. I chose to uninstall it and use a better FREE app instead. Getting a lil greedy now I see huh? Shame cause I liked the app. Why charge when you get money for the ads that effect the performance... Lol
