OpenStax CNX Music

If you have always wanted to learn more about music or are a music teacher looking for free resources, OpenStax CNX Music is the place to start. All of the books were created by users of OpenStax CNX and are not part of the OpenStax family of peer-reviewed textbooks. Authors are Catherine Schmidt-Jones and Douglas L. Jones. Subjects covered include music theory, guitar, school band, the physics of music, music activities for children and more.

The app allows users to read the book and create bookmarks. It also remembers where you left off reading when you return. The Table of Contents is easily available as is in-book search.

OpenStax CNX is part of OpenStax at Rice University. OpenStax CNX allows users to create, edit and reuse open education content. All of the music books are licensed Creative Commons CC-BY.
