Chester Zoo

Sadly the app crashed too much to be usable. Although the map function was initially useful, around halfway around the zoo while trying to log the animals the app began to crash after each attempt to log. Tried clearing cache, restarting etc but this didn't help. It's a real shame because we enjoyed the collection aspect of the app until this point.

Crashed a lot, and some animals didn't appear on the map? I was also at the zoo by the tigers, but couldn't unlock the last island badge, and staff didn't know how to fix it either. Otherwise great app and helps you learn some great facts about the animals, and become more engaged with what you are looking at!

My son enjoyed the app...when it worked. Several unexpected errors during our day visit meant we had to uninstall and start all over. This highlighted another issue though . With every install we never got the full 85 animals on the map, the average was 67, and the missing animals also seemed to alter each time, for example in 5 installs the porcupine only appeared once!

Works for me. Nice bit of fun to review your visit and tick off the badges at home later on. Map a bit difficult as the animal icons are too large so you can't see pathways.

Stuck on the loading screen for over an hour. Piece of junk.

Really helpful interactive map allowing you to get real time view of where you are and where you can go/see. Also has the details of all the talks and experiences.

App would not stay on whilst we were at the zoo, it would come on then say app is not responding within a minute, disappointing!

It is great because you can collect badges of the animals from Chester Zoo and it great to explore the app so download it and enjoy and relax with this app

It's a really good app, but has started to crash as the app is loading up and the map is hard to use. It's hard to pan around, plus animal pins can hide parts other map.

Probably fine for kids but not really for me. Paper map easier to use when visiting, and I can't see the point of using battery by leaving location permanently on when I know where I am anyway!

Simply doesn't work. Errors out and crashes immediately. Same on my daughters HTC One M8. Tried it at the zoo today and it was a total fail.

Initially it worked (I installed it at home and opened it while connected to home Wi-Fi). We went to the zoo and started using the app and, apart from the poor navigation, it appeared to be working well. After we got the "badges" for about 7 animals it came up with a message that it had stopped working. I then attempted to reopen it. Sat on loading for a while so I killed the app (via running and cached applications) and tried again. Upshot was 5 hours later and it still hadn't opened. Just tried again and it's still stuck there. If you can get it to work it would be fun with the kids to spot the animals and tick them off and get more information but as it is it's useless. Phone is an LG4, Android 6.0

Map worked well and tracked my location, but I couldn't get it to collect any badges. Gave up on the end and just switched it off.

The app errors out without loading on my S7. Incidentally, the iPhone version has gone missing from the UK app store.

The only thing that would have made it perfect is to incorporate an e-ticket into the app if ypu buy online

Its good that it works offline but being a big file it should have the option to move to sd card. Please fix this.

Update. After about 15 mins of 'loading' it actually loaded on my Note 4. The wifes S4 was quicker but still took about 10 minutes. Give it plenty of time to load as it seem to download a lot of info in the background. Probably the latest map etc but very fustrating it took so long with no information about whats going on. ************************************* Downloaded didnt work. Restarted phone - didn't work. Reinstalled - didn't work. I'm summary. IT DOESN'T WORK.

Overall this app is good. I like the interactive map and collecting the badges - helps keep track of what you have and haven't seen. The hornbills are the wrong way round and the sumartran orangatan was still in its old location on the app but overall no problems. A little annoying that it doesn't go back to the map when you collect a badge but it's ok.

Really impressed with the zoo and the app is totally worth it for the map alone as it updates your position via GPS. I found all the other feature really confusing though like why we couldn't activate any stickers. Would definitely recommend a visit

Animals not in correct places, made getting extra info etc a bit of a chore. Otherwise, useful to get bearings quickly.

Constantly stopped working all morning. Got fed up and turned it off.

Doesn't work with Lollipop 5.1.1.Screen says "Loading" but nothing works.Sorry have to give it a thumbs down :-(
