Omer Counter for Android
Brilliant! Anything to make mitzvos easier can only be good. Latest update only improves it
Great reminderd and sorry insights!
HOW TO SET LOCATION: the problem is that the app doesn't have the location permission that it needs. Go to Settings, App Manager, click Omer Counter, click permissions, enable all 3 permissions including location, then it'll work
Either notifications are simply unreliable, or it deliberately doesn't give notifications on shabbat and other days that are chag, rendering the app almost useless, since the whole point is to serve as an aid to someone who wants a reminder to count the Omer every day. If the target audience is strictly extremely observant orthodox jews who are expected to be in shul every single one of those evenings, then at least it should provide a warning to others indicating that there's no option to get reminders on certain days. Total useless crap.
2017: decided to try again, but it insists counting doesn't start for 2 days. Well tonight is 2nd night of pesach, so...is this some new tradition? How can this still be messed up? Time to look for a different app. 2016: I'm test driving this app this year. Looks great...it has my location right, but not the date! It says I should start counting in two days rather than today. Seems a pretty basic thing to get wrong for an omer counter. Interested to see what it tells me tomorrow.
Overall a good app, and it's keeping me from forgetting to count the Omer on busy weeknights, but it has one annoying glitch. I open the app and start to read the blessing, when the menu pops up on the side, blocking my view of the Hebrew words, often in the middle of the Bracha! I need the menu to stay closed unless I specifically want to open it. That glitch is why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of five.
Great app. Useful. Helpful. Bugs: 1. Location doesn't update automatically. 2. When updating location, it shows an alert box repeatedly to tap"OK." 3. I didn't get a notification today: 4/24/2017
As long as this apps didn't cause me count it wrong, it's ok. If it did Hashem knows my heart and the developer's heart as well
Ty, I'm not Jewish but I follow all the traditional Orthodox stuff, like I said ty...
I used this last year, and was correctly identified as living in Philadelphia. How this has me, about forty miles away in King of Prussia, is beyond me.
Please highlight the words and letter for each day in red
Nusach Sefardi is missing!(עדות המזרח) Beside that it's great!
Second year using, excellent, very convenient & keeps me on track
Enjoy this app 100%. Thanks!
Zipkin makes the app usable.
Beautiful practical app!
I think the one from yossi's apps is the best.... They Even highlight the special words and letters each night
Used this app last year and it kept me on schedule and on time. It has already started the countdown to the first count but turns out the count is off. Not getting any notifications and says I still have two days to begin the count. Recently updated and working perfectly.
I like this app for counting, but every day it thinks I'm in a different time zone. My husband has it too, and he gets the reminder to count while mine says I have to wait another 2:45. Please add a way to set location manually!
The all works very well the one problem is that it keeps getting my location wrong. It would be better if we could just choose our location. It's not like that right now so I have to check a different app to see when I can count. PLEASE FIX!!! thanks!
It keeps saying it cannot find my location. All my other apps requiring location services are working fine. I find no way to manually set it. Makes it worthless to use.
Should let me manually enter location or something cause pretty pointless when it doesn't remind me based off my timezone
When I downloaded the app it didn't update location properly (like many are saying here). I went into setup>apps>omer counter>permission and enabled location. Now it works!
As long as this apps didn't cause me count it wrong, it's ok. If it did Hashem knows my heart and the developer's heart as well
The only problem is that it doesn't show me the day and week. It has a box with a ? in it.
App just started 5-25-16 not completeing connecting the meditation, after update.
Highly recommend. I love it. Makes sure I don't forget to count. I would love if the words for meditation would be in red each day so I can find them.
It helped me keep track of the Omer, and reminded me when to say the prayers for it.
Elegant, beautiful and powerful. This app points a timeless tradition in your pocket.
awsome app you guys! be blessed! ברוך השם
Needs a SEFARDI VERSION
I find it a great help aid.
Good app.
Useful looking app but won't update my location away from Brooklyn, NY so useless for reminders here in London
Smart. Beautiful app.
Seems like it'd be dead useful but it seems to think it's still April 21st and I can't get it to change so that the alerts will work. Also, a future version with transliteration for the blessing and each days count would be nice. Maybe with a Sefardic pronunciation? I know that's a lot.

I live in Israel and it keeps saying I am in Brooklyn, NY! I have my gps on so it should pick up my location.
Date and location are right for me! :)

Using this app for the third year in a row and it keeps me on schedule and on time. 2016: had a problem with the correct count and no notifications but that was soon fixed.
