Cadence Calculator for Cycling

I have spent a lot of money to solve the problem of accurate continuous read-out of cadence while cycling, including various brands of wireless computer and some internet systems to get readings direct to my mobile phone. I now use Cadence Calculator and do the job manually

I liked the idea ... and seems working fine I wish to ask an update ... beside of sound to cadence ... it can have a visual sigh like the logo of app turning on set cadence #thanksinadvance !

Best user friendly app for calculating cadence. But, you have to know your bike's chainring and cassette, your tyre size, and based on the speed you input, it shows your cadence.

No bugs, does the job and has no listable flaws. Though it could use a bit of a UI touchup to fit android 5.0 better but other than that perfect.

I have a single speed bike and I can't enter a custom crankset or cassette gear number. Shame, seems like a decent app otherwise.

Useless

It is totally useless. You need to set it up for your bike, but the options you are giving are set it stone and limited. They should give you the option of numerical input, not a selection of already input options.

I can't get it to recognize any activity on my GS4. Simply, nothing gets counted. Other apps, which use the accelerometers for steps, etc., work fine. ALSO, when I try the metronome feature, the app crashes every time. That said, if it did work, it doesn't log anything, so I'd have to have eyes in my pocket.

Once I set the correct component in the calculator it worked very well for me.

Good job.. But my shimano cs hg30 gears and fm 117 chain gears not available..

Allowed me to work out when to shift up and down on the front chainring liked it heaps

It could be better and I can't use it to give the best results because my components aren't listed.

Better than a reg calc app.

The wide range of gear choices, and the possibility to create custom cassettes is really good - I use this a lot when coaching novice triathletes. If there was an option to change colours it would get 5 stars - the red/black combo isn't as clear as it might be. Otherwise, I love the simplicity.

I like the metronome feature and the red and black doesn't bother me. Great help in the mountains.

Nice simple app. Works well. Input values directly in settings for single speed bikes, rather than choosing from the drop down menus.

But need little improvement, the display is cutting off on 3,5 inch phone.

Of limited application. User unfriendly in that it doesn't transfer chaining and cassette sizes to main screen

You have to pick a known brand of crank and cassette: but single speed or fixed gear items are not available to pick. Probably works fine if you have one of the brands there. Also limited tire selection for road bikes: nothing narrower than 23mm.

Great app. If you know the specs of your bike, this is very handy

Does not all fit on the screen?? All the buttons at the bottom are off the screen so you can see the speed and gear details. Surely the Nexus 7 has a resolution to support this so I guess it's a bug in the app. Please fix...

It has a user friendly interface. Easy to use even for newbie like me. The features that interesting for me that we can set the gears parameter manually. So it's helpful even our gearset was not mentioned on the list. :-) Keep improve it! i wonder if that can calculate how fast rider will be with fix cadence on certain value.

The added popular cassettes are a great improvement. Part of the app is outside my screen (HD2, screen size setting 160, 480x800) changing that and adding the ability to calculate speed at a given cadence would make it 5 stars!

It may be hidden in the settings menu but darned if it isn't the easiest to hear, simplest to set metronome for cycling in the whole app store. Since I don't understand the whole cadence thing, I would recommend the metronome save its own setting rather than taking it from the other page.

No 11 speed cassette selections. Bummer
