Butterflies of Israel

Butterflies of Israel is a photographic guide for Israeli's butterflies. The guide contains the absolute majority of the butterflies in Israel (including Mt. Hermon). I hope it will expand in the future.

Every butterfly appears in one image or more. For the most of the butterflies there are several images: male, female and under side. In some butterflies there are, also, pictures of special morphs. In the future I will add pictures of the butterflies in more positions.

Definition of the butterfly can be done by knowing the family or by its color. It is possible to define the butterfly by its wings (spread or closed).

Each butterfly has a short explanation: Distribution, flight time, size and larvae host plants.
