Is the rowing machine something that you bypass at the gym or only use to warm up or cool down? British Rowing would like to present RowActiv, an app that proves that the rowing machine is a great way to work out, whatever your level of fitness.
If you are new to working out, returning to an exercise programme or already an active person, RowActiv has something for you. It is your indoor rowing personal trainer.
RowActiv sessions are:
•Designed and delivered by expert indoor rowers
•Targeted at specific fitness levels
•Audio; it talks you through each stage of the session
•Varied lengths to fit in with your gym schedule

I'm sure the app would be good if the video worked as well as the audio. Until that's fixed just forget it.

The data entry for recording a session is very clunky, to enter 25 mins you have to scroll through from zero! Also menu on home screen doesn't work on Lollipop.

Looks really nice and a few of the video work. Most just crashed the app and after downloading the videos all I get is video not playable.

Ap is excellent Coaching keeps you motivated and improves technique Like having a personal rowing coach in the gym!

Got over the problem running videos on the Galaxy S2, great app for first time rowing machine users. Still to try the audio coaching but the warm up routine is very good. Basic stuff is free with a small charge to enable all the downloads/online coaching.

Advertised as free, but in fact only a small bit of the functionality is freely available. Most training sessions are behind a paywall, and are far from cheap! Not sure why the app needs permissions to directly dial phone numbers...

The app has a good warm up programme but whenever I've tried to download the workout videos it sits as processing payment for literally hours! Shame as it could be a good app.
