I use Uber and Lyft because of cost and convenience. COST: the fares on this app are no cheaper than overpriced taxis you get from the hotel concierge at a tourist hotel. CONVENIENCE: this app doesn't first offer the ride to the closest car. I had cars right near me (as per the map), yet my ride got picked up by someone 25 minutes away. I quickly cancelled that request and I was told I would be fined. THE GOOD: Drivers are licensed cabbies, not individuals. It doesn't require adding a credit card.

I can't even log into the app because it the SMS verification code never sends. I've tried it on a blackberry and an iphone and neither work! Whenever I try to resend it says "connection has been lost. please try again later" .. it's been a week and I'm still getting the same error.
