BBQScreen Android Client Beta for Android
Yet again another case where the developer abandons an app.
Turned it on added my ip address and nothing happened
I purchased this app, its in beta stage, yet hasn't seen updates since August of last year. That, in my opinion, is well, bullish**. Oh and, it doesn't even work.
Purchased to show my support.
Works great
Doesn't connect to my HTC sensation (from my HTC one). Could do with on screen home and back buttons
After typing in ip address in it says attempt connection 1,2,3 error message socket operation timed out.why is app not working
Hardware this worked on so far, Droid X with Blur based GB 2.3.4, HTC Flyer with Sense based HC 3.2. Remotely viewed device was a HTC Rezound on ICS 4.04 Sense 4.X based ROM. This is just what I need all the time for remote supporting my family and friends phones. Once you can get the speed up and add the ability to be on different networks, e.g., 3G, and 4G connections, this app will be awesome! If you are lacking funds for quicker development, I suggest you start a kickstarter, or indegogo campaign, and let us know here, and on your site. I for one would pay $5-20 bucks for the combination of the BBQ screen and this app, that worked faster, on more phones, and over different networks.
Im excited about this app. When I run the app though it does not display my IP. I have manually entered but still does not connect. Error message: socket connection timed out.

I'm looking forward to seeing this go far, my only concern is the price you're charging for the remote app.. it's 4 times more expensive than the client itself and from what I understand the clients for PC/Linux/MAC are all free yet I paid to have it on my device. This is ridiculous in my opinion. Also I wouldn't pay $4 for the Remote app, especially since it's not a final product, but I would be willing to pay $2 for it as it does function as advertised. I honestly think you're asking for too much for an app that's still BETA, a price drop will get more people (like myself) to buy it. But I understand that'll upset the users that already paid $4, a sale doesn't sound like a bad idea. Please take this into consideration, thank you for this wonderful app, I've needed this for a long time. - LeoLawliet
