Westpac Mobile PayWay for Android
I run a driving school and need a reliable form of electronic payment on the go. The amount of times the unit will not pair is ridiculous and we have to source other payment options making me run late or take no payment at all on the day adding extra time with follow-up reimbursements. I already work an 80hr week on the road and this adds extra unnecessary workload.
Crashes way too much. Very Embarrassing to use when purchasing items. Highly discourage from using.
Recently switched from Nexus 5 to Oppo R7 Plus and app stopped working
Love this item, only thing I must say is need a pay and go option
Paying opitunities.
Loved it
does not work on my New LePro3 phone ( which has mm6.0 system, and NFC enabled). Westpac needs to act fast. I am now considering switch to commonwealth bank as their mobile banking tap and pay works on any NFC enabled 4.4+ system.
Great application
I know what I'm talking about?!!? Been with Wespac all my life ...and they won't even look side way's at me....
Keeps breaking down and keep having to reinstall app again and again
Money
Horrible
Works like a dream for me, thank you Westpac.
Too slow does not always connect to card reader. Does anyone at westpac read these reviews, or do they only take notice of the more favourable ones?

Never even got to take a single payment pairs to phone but still won't work call westpac they don't even know what is wrong stay away from this device and app
Paying opitunities.
Easy convenience etc
We are 3 partners so when we try to use other phone we can't. It is hard because sometimes I'm out with my phone and my partners have to do the pair. It is sucks
Ugh
Nice n easy
Latest android phone (Nexus 5x) and tap & pay option isn't even shown! App also crashes regularly and latest update is much slower.
Constant pairing issues. Having to restart phone constantly. Also having to uninstall app and reinstall it to get it to work. Paypal here is much better.
We've had this system for just over a year now, and have recently had to exchange for a fifth device. We only use it for about 15 transactions a week, yet have not had a device last longer than 3 months. Constantly have trouble with it pairing with our tablet and phones. Will start a transaction then drop out. Pretty embarrassing for us and inconvenient for the customer. We have definitely lost sales because of this; some customers see it as "fate" and put their items back.
'When it works'....it good, not great but good. The app is very flaky...takes a number of attempts to get it to pair, the constant logoff feature causes the pairing to drop (back to problem 1). Locks up the phone or app needs to be force closed, sometimes need to reboot the phone to get the pairing to work....I constantly curse westpac when it take sbout 15 minutes to process a payment. I have a bad experince and my customer has a bad experince...westpac gets it fee when it works...
I have had so many problems with Westpac, it's been about two months trying to get this to work and so far I have had about THREE successful transactions. So far, the problems I have had: 1) When signing up, Westpac mentions that they offer $7500 a month max in payments. When I actually received the card reader, I find out I was given a maximum of $3000 (which was far below what I needed). Website also didn't make this clear, and I had to get a Westpac employee to admit it was deceptive to give me a refund. 2) App itself rarely works, is always crashing and will freeze for no reason 3) Can never get the device to pair with my phone or tablet, half the time it can't find the device, the other times it just doesn't connect 4) app is also quite ugly and not particularly user friendly 5) have been having connectivity issues, with the repeated error 'export error 96', have tried to fix the problem with no luck. Has been a complete waste of time & money, not worth the lost sales and the frustration.
Good grief! Could making simple card payments from customers be more frustrating and embarrassing? 2nd device, multiple app crashes, bugs, and reinstalls. Lost sales. Tidy it up Westpac or lose my entire banking business.
Extremely dodgy and the bank doesn't care. Worked one day wouldn't the next. Second machine now doing exactly the same.
Once you use it then put it down I have to kill the app before I can get it to connect again. I have lost sales due to this issue

The app doesn't log in. Suggests I have the wrong password. The website works. Can't believe we're signed on for a year. This is not reasonable service. Guy in support suggested I reset password. Then told me they cannot contact paywave. Cannot call back. I left a complaint. I suggest people protest the management at westpac. All their services are significantly worse following culling staff numbers. They're slowly losing out business with their treatment of customers.
Rarely pairs, constantly crashes and keeps signing out. Works great on iPhone 6 which I now have to borrow to use this device and app

Device does not work on Sony Xperia even though tech department assured me it would.
