There are a lot of reviews for this app where people moan that it does not work, they want USB scanning etc. This is a SANE client, you first need to create a SANE server for your scanner to work with this app. It works perfectly for me in my galaxy S7, I would just like more sharing options, like save to PDF locally. Other than that, I can't really fault it. It's just a client, and it just works. No ads is a real bonus as well.

Hey, it scanned from my Linux PC with a USB attached HP C4280 running saned! The UI is a bit rough but I realize it's not easy translating xsane functionality to the droidekas. I hope you keep working on it because you've done a great job so far!

Doesn't work with epson NX430

Works great on my raspberry pi sharing a usb Epson printer/scanner.

Right from the start, it doesn't work. No buttons, no image, anything, completely frozen. Please fix this right away, I'm dying to try a USB flatbed scanner on my phone - Galaxy S7 Edge

This apps description should say the max dpi is 150 dpi. I won't scan Greyscale at less than 300 or photos at less than 600, because I clean and compress them after scanning. Uninstalled.

I don't think people understand they need to have a SANE service running. Either built in to the scanner or set up urself like this

DPI is set in app settings not in scan page. No apparent way to set scanning output folder. No way to pass xinetd / inetd a username. No landscape (for tablet) UI

I don't know what I use it for. May be espionage?

Not described in laymen terms, but you MUST have the SANE Service running on a Linux PC, not Windows, and connected to (Hosting) the scanner in order for app to work. Not what I'm looking for. I have a stand alone All-In-One Printer/Scanner. SANEDroid has a fewer features, but will work without a server for a network printer/scanner/copier.

Can anyone who's familiar with the setup explain how to configure your scanner with the sane site? Obviously the developer is too much of a coward tho stand behind his product. Can anyone give some insight in the reviews?

Very simple and clean. It does what you would expect from a SANE client. No ads! There are some things that the app lacks - higher dpi option available, and a "save to" popup when a scan is finished

It would be nice to have a full sharing menu instead of just Bluetooth, Dropbox, and Google Drive.

I have tried this now on two different manufacturer tablets. Neither see my canon mp288. Both have android 4.0.3. I have emailed these people - no reply. Uninstalling.
