Spektrum DXe Programmer

This app allows my cheap Spektrum DXE transmitter to do the same functions that the more expensive transmitters do. The sync function works easier on my LG V10 then my older LG G4 but both were able to program my planes. I recently bought an E-flite Sport Cub s and discovered that in the program's advanced mode I could assign Channel 5 to the FM switch which allowed me to select the 3 stabilization modes with the flight mode switch. It's amazing what the DXe transmitter and this android app can do once you understand how it works. I currently have 5 planes I can quickly load up and fly.

I want my money back... Doesn't work on mobile. I've got a Moto droid mini. App downloaded fine but the interface doesn't give me a "update" button to apply the settings like the manual says it has. Supposed to be on top of the screen, it's not. Figure it out fast spektrum... Figure it out fast.

Per Spektrum, you need to buy a programming cable and update via you PC before you can use this app. After updating you will be locked out of PC control, and the app still does not work. Without the advertised programming functionality the transmitter is very limited.

This App only works with a few Android devices, they are well aware of the problem and recommend buying a selection of Android devices until I find one that works!!! What a useless bunch, awful customer service.

Does not work for Verizon Samsung Note 5 with Nugget OS, or Samsung S2Pad with Marshmallow OS. Extremely dissatisfied and disappointed! No updates or new Apps for replacement by Spektrum. Spektrum is losing the RC market FAST!

Just doesn't work. Will not sync with my DXe transmitter, and the update my transmitter needed in order to use this app prevents me from using the desktop programmer, with no way to revert back. So I'm now stuck with a transmitter that I cannot program at all. Wasted money on the programming cable (sold separately, of course) too. Going to cut my losses and buy a Devo 7E, much nicer to use and much more support from what I've seen. Don't waste your time with this app, or the DXe if you were thinking of buying one.

Almost feel like Spektrum needs a lawsuit for false advertising. They've been promising, and promising, for too long. Be careful if you have a iPhone S7 Edge. It'll put it into a state in which your screen is black and you can't reset your phone until it dies completely. Hopefully at that point your phone you put in a freezer so that way it doesn't overheat. Almost ruined my phone twice after using this app. I've only been able to use it once; after that it would not work.

Doesn't work on 3 different android devices. Won't even load without crashing. Useless. Do not buy DXe you wont be able to program it.

Wildly invasive user privacy permissions requirements e.g. personally identifiable device ID & location data, that are not needed from a technical point of view. Uninstalling immediately & will likely be doing Spektrum transmitter product return to retailer.

Absolute pile of crap and I want my money back!!! Have to buy a $20 cable that should be included with the TX and it doesn't work even then. Bought Another Bluetooth connector hoping this would do the trrick instead... $16.... Again doesn't work. Fix this bullshit app you bunch of money grabbing ass hats or give us all refunds!!!!!

I'm in disbelief a company like this would not care to fix this issue. I just bought a DXE today and just figured out the app doesn't even work. So my new TX is useless. :( I'm very disappointed and angry now that I've seen how long they've known about the issue and not even cared to fix it.

App does not work on either of my Samsung phones leaving me unable to program my DXE. Also no app for the Galaxy S8 for programming my AR636 Rx's. I have 9 planes and two controllers that are useless at this point. I have quite a lot of their products and with these issues I am being forced to change to other companies products. Support has been pretty terrible as well, very unhappy.

This app does not work with my Spektrum DXE transmitter PERIOD! Total waste of money buying the cord to use this app. Shame on Horizon Hobby (the ones who made this app and sold the cord that doesn't work.)

Do not bother does not work. Tired Bluetooth and cable. Now my remote is a brick because once you update to 1.6 the PC connection no longer works.

This must be some kind of bad joke. I bought the dxe remote from horizons website, where they advertised it as the remote of the future to be able to be Programmed from tour mobile. When I opened the box, I was baffled when I read that I had to get a special programming cable. Personally I believe this should have been included in a complete product, but whatever, i checked their website and found two cables - both rather expensive for simple wires - one for PC and one for mobile. As I wanted to program from my mobile, I ordered that mobile cable and waited another week for it to arrive. Now when I plugged it in and started this app I getting a message saying I have to update the (brand new) remote, and it won't work until I do. Apparently updating can only be done from. The PC, so guess what, I have to buy another cable if I want to use it.. Infact a status PDF from their website which I found when searching for alternatives states that updates need to be done on the PC and that some of the features can only be programmed by the mobile app,so you'll always need both cables. Go figure. And to add insult to injury, your pc had to be Microsoft Windows. Linux and Mac are not supported. In 2017. This is not what trading in good faith looks like.

Really struggling to get it to work. All I want is for the flap switch to actually operate the flaps!!

I bought this radio system on recommendation from a local hobby shop. It worked fine out of the box. Once updated it failed to do anything it did before properly. The Win10 version of this app still does not work. This app never would read the settings from my transmitter. Still very lacking in Basic features. Needs a virtual output tester to ensure the settings were accepted by the transmitter and that the channels are working correctly

I just want to fly my drone. I waited all weekend for this stupid cord, and the app won't connect to the Tx. All I want to do is swap my yaw and roll. This shouldn't be this hard.

Seemed to work then locked in flight mode, stopped app restarted still locked in flight mode. Lots of things missing even for simple sailing no travel adjustment no good for quad flight. not impressed will put in tool shed till software gets better.

Great app. You enable advanced mode. You have total control. The bad rep is from tards who wouldn't be able to program c to turn on led 13 arduino.

Does not connect on my galaxy s4. I think the dxe will be the last spektrum product i purchase if this is the type of product making it past beta testing. (UPDATE 9/15/16) I talked to tech support at horizon hobby the man i talked to said there should be an update coming out in the next month.
