Spektrum AS3X Programmer

This program does not connect to my as3x rx. The syncing icon just keeps spinning. There were a couple times where it stopped and it looked as if it had connected, but I never got any prompts about the settings being out of sync and when I made changes in the app, the icon never indicated that anything was updated on the rx side. On the couple occasions that it "connected", none of the settings would sync. Is there a plan to fix this? I have been using a spektrum audio cable and a note 5. Thanks.

They made an update on the app and now nothing works. It doesn't even start. Gave all the required permissions but it crashes on start. Bravo! Fantastic! Congratulations! I'm through with spektrum. Futaba here I come

It's dumb that I HAVE to use an app, when I can just do the setups in my transmitter. What's the purpose of having a high end spectrum transmitter if I don't need all those settings?

C'mon Horizon Hobby, time to make some improvements to this app and the firmware. The flying season is about to start. I'm using this for a 636 receiver, and the app is a nightmare to use on an android galaxy s6. I had to resort to the desktop application, which incorrectly identifies my rx as having the safe mode, and won't let me choose the correct version.

It doesn't allow me to set expo or d/r nor is it dependable to connect up. Having same problem with pc app. 2.0 also. No expo or d/r.

Seems to have updated version, now won't open even after setting permissions. Does no one test these apps before releasing them. Not impressed, expect better from HH

Successfully used the PC software and USB adapter cable to adjust the settings on my Adagio. Thought I'd try this app on my Samsung S tablet. Used with the USB cable and an OTG adapter. The app recognised the cable but didn't see the receiver. All permissions allocated etc. Gave up :-(

Nothing but confusion. Does not work as shown on vidieo. App stopped working with new update 2 days ago. Tech support does not consider providing an app that works as tech support and suggests you send you equipment in for evaluation!I contacted HH and they informed me that they supply "Beta" software with their products an it doesn't have to work. HH uses its customer base for a unknowing and unwilling free labor source for R&D. I submitted them with bill for my services. They refused to pay but now want to claim perfection by offering a refund.

Great idea but only partially works. Using a Samsung Note 5 with the audio cable. Connects ok and updates but graphical screens for rates and gains are a mess. Numbers written all over them obscuring the graph lines. Also, cannot select ABS or REL on the gains screens. They don't activate or deactivate. They are both the same color, i.e. black text. Its a shame. This could be a great app for programming AS3X.

Its really shocking how Spectrum cold heartedly ignoring this app. No support for latest Aneroid OSs, synching works one out if ten times, can't save config, and list goes on&on. Come on, Spectrum!

Totally useless does not work with galaxy s6 and despite numerous times reporting this spektrum have not resolved the issue. This company is going down hill of late with a succession of crap products and rubbish instruction manuals

Used to work. Now won't open. And the now it has caused my receiver to become unusable.

Totally sucks!!! App stops, programs don't save. No SAFE walk through set up. Good idea terrible execution. Terrible app. No alternative sucks sucks sucks

Won't even open now! When it did it wouldn't lock in to the receiver. Come on Horizon sort it out as I might as well use it as a door stop!!!

Completely wrong information: Requires Android 4.4 and up Dose not work with Android 7; would not even allow to download!

Had the same trouble as everyone else. Still had the previous app on my Samsung Galaxy A Tab. I bluetoothed across to my Samsung Galaxy J3 phone a file I had been working on for an aircraft of mine. After it had been received on my phone I opened it and the app opened with my file. Closed it all down and trident to read open the app and it worked. Give it a go if you can.

UPDATED AND WILL NOT START. I wish Spektrum would do some testing before pushing updates.

The dreaded "Unfortunately AS3X Programmer Has Stopped" on Samsung Galaxy S7.

Come on, Horizon. This is absolute garbage. This update is completely BROKEN. It won't even open on my phone running Android 4.4.2, which is fine according to the specs. The old version of the app ran great. I uninstalled it and installed the update. Great. Now, I can't use the stupid thing at all. I even tried opening it directly via a model file I have on my phone since another guy's review here said that worked for him since his app wouldn't initially open, either. Of course, it did not work for me. Do you even care about your customers? Seriously? Look at the massively overwhelming number of one star reviews. It's been well over TWO months since this update was posted here and it hasn't been fixed? FIX THIS, PLEASE.

Updated finally! Changed permission settings but still won't work.

Fragile, incompatible with many phones and withe later versions of android. Unreliable when programming as3x receivers.

The start up sequence is very important. If you do not start the program the way it's intended it will not work. Watch the tutorial horizon hobby put on YouTube and it will work fine. I love it it's so simple

Updated to the latest version and it crashes during load...

Did work on Samsung tablet but upgraded stopped working . FIX IT SOON SPEKTRUM!!!

Bought a new 636, was super stoked to use it on my newest plane, too bad the app doesn't work or else it would be a nice system. Please fix the app Spektrum, I don't want to buy a Futaba system :(

Just doesn't work, so receiver a waste of money I can't program it

I should have never updated this stupid app. Now it does not work at all. Oh and on my ar7350 the gyro works on 1 aileron. Get it working NOW!!!!!!!!!!

Will not even start on my S5...

When app and receiver (AR636 & AR7350) communicate, works perfectly. Most of the time if a change is made, app won't update RX. There is an order to connect them at the onset of each session, hit it once, but not consistently. Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (Android 5.0) Note 10.1 tablet have same issues. As someone else mentioned, thank god for the PC app. Works good under Win 10.

I hate this app. Though the idea of programming my receiver was great so I bought an as3x receiver thinking it would be simple. The amount of times this turd crashes or tries to overwrite settings from another model is ridiculous. My hobby is rc airplanes not trying to program on an app all day. Fix this stupid app please!

Ok. So if you have never flown a multi-roter and programed the flight control board. This program will seem complex. It's not to bad once you get the hang of it. BEWARE!!!! I have had it swith 2 aircraft control surfaces. All of them became reversed. This cause my to crash one plane. I catch it on the 2nd one.
