Babylonian Talmud (Complete)

This app is basically useless as a research tool. While it contains the Soncino English translation - it has a fatal flaw. There is no way to go directly to a page or even to a specific tractate. There is a slider that will take you slowly through the entire Talmud or you can manually page through till you come to the right page. Neither is of use if you want to go to a specific page or a specific tractate. In addition - it is further limited by only working with an Internet connection. While it is true that there is 15 minutes to decide for money returned (I didn't get to use the app because of failure of the Internet connection). The money is really not the issue. It is that the app has a fatal flaw that has not been addressed by the developer. The only apparent value of the app is if you simply want to read the entire Talmud from beginning to end in English - rather than looking up a particular tractate or passage. But that English translation can be accessed free from the public archives that this app is based on. Furthermore the translation can downloaded free as a pdf from the public archives so it can be studied without the need for an Internet connection
