APRSdroid - APRS Client for Android
I think the app is probably pretty good.. but I cannot get them to give me an account.. I am an extra licensed ham.. what a pain. Once I actually get access I will re-rate..
Works really well on my Motorola. I'd like the map to center on my current location by default but that's a very minor issue. Other than that I think it's a great piece of software.
Really love this app. Gladly paid for it to help support the developer. He's managed to accomplish something very difficult so I don't have to. Using with the mobilinkd tnc currently. Nothing else I android even comes close to this app!
Paired with a phone and 2m HT I'm able to keep in touch with family outside radio and cell range. APRS and APRSdroid almost always works. HamSats might even expand that coverage but I'm still learning.
Payed for this app, can't get it to work on my ZTE Blade "phone". I want this app "up and running" NOT a refund. Thanks a lot Georg for a really "great" experience. DE K7DFA
Great app. Wish it had the option to change from metric to imperial just cause I'm located in the US and that is what we use here.
My budget for ham radio is rather tight right now so I was super excited when I found out that I can still participate in APRS using only my phone.
Thought the battery drain was fixed while powered up. But last update we are back to same problem
Fantastic app! I couldn't possibly be any more satisfied. Full featured app with everything you can possibly want or need in a aprs app. Thank you to the author. You've got a piece of app art here!
it's unlikely the dev will add imperial measurement support. thus this application is useless. uninstalled.
I really liked this. It gave excellent options, and it's perfect for me because I am normally portable. Good job developers and keep up the good work.
Pretty good little app, would def be better if it converted the message output from weather stations in a more human readable output
I use this app on my sota activities combined with Mobilinkd Bluetooth module. Works great!
If everything in my life worked is nice as this app. My life would be so much nicer.
Great app. For Amateur Radio use. Works the way it was designed to be.
Uninstalled, reinstalled and all is well. Runs great!
I use this with a Mobilinkd Bluetooth TNC. Works great.
Great app. Aprs on the go!! 73 9w2dny Malaysia.
Amazing features. Very impressed.
Great software.
Great software
Works well. I currently use it just on my phone but am looking to get a Moblnkd TNC. My big complaint is that it is metric only. I live in the US which is not going metric any time soon so I think in miles. Please give us an option.
Works exactly as described. For those of you who can not get a passcode you're not trying. Any licensed ham operator will have no problems getting one. There are plenty of pass code generators out there. It will take you all of 15 seconds to get one.
Great app. And a lot of fun. Coupled with a Mobilinked TNC, cable free tracking off road. Works great. It works great as a mobile only app as well. For those complaining about Passcodes, you need to read the FAQ!!! Or learn more about APRS and get your APRS-IS passcode, and just use that. Easy stuff for a Ham. Anyway, this is a fun app to use and for use with a TNC and Radio, saves a ton of trouble, work and money. Highly recommended.
IM STILL WAITING FOR MY PASS-CODE...CANT SEE HOW IT CAN TAKE UP TO TWO WEEKS..... IVE BEEN A LIC. HAM 60 YRS---EXTRA CLASS..... 2 day latter ......got pass-code tnx .... works great .like it would suggest to all for price very happy... I know u hv to becareful of fraud ,, s people that arent licencesd ... APRSdroid developers keep up the good work 73s/Ron/KC7J
I really like it, I use it daily. Easy to use and integrates flawless into the cell phone. Serial code took half day but I didn't mind, I understand. Best app for APRS on my cell phone. I bought the paid version. Good investment for ham on cell. Worked well on my trip from Kentucky to Orlando! Very satisfied, I would buy it again.
Downloaded for free to try, loved it. Came back and downloaded the paid version. This is a great app to pair with the Mobilink Bluetooth TNC. Hooked up to my HTX-202. It does a great job tracking!
It works on some things. But forget about weather bulletins and objects. Well at least the objects work for a few minutes. Then they stop working. Bulletins never come through from AE5PL-WX. Nothing compares to APRSISCE.
This thing is useless without the pass code, and they are in no hurry to get it too you. I have had this app over a week and still no response from the developer on the pass code to use this app. I want a refund for my money. KB9WAJ.
Receives and translates over-the-air (OTA) APRS signals, but cannot generate proper APRS data to send through a radio. Great potential, no delivery.

This app is great. Worth the money, for sure. Took only a few days to get a pass code. AFSK via speaker/mic works perfectly. Thanks and 73! VA6TDG
They wanted pictures of my certificates and it was becoming a real pain. I just got my code from another site on Google and had it instantly
This app seems to be better suited for those that know something about APRS. I'm new at APRS and could benefit by a few tutorials with examples. Until I figure out what I'm doing and what it [APRSdroid] is doing I cannot give it a fair review. A neutral rating minus one star for no tutorials and no ability for refund after needed passcode is sent.
Got my passcode right away, use it frequently without a radio, can't wait to hook up to my FT60R Yaesu! Good buy, for the money! Thank you.
Installed, requested passcode, sent scan of radio license immediately to expedite process. Emailed 8 days later to see what's up, no response. Got an rote request to send in scanned copy of license about 10 days after request, said I'd done that already, no response. Asked if he found that email, no response. Found the algorithm to calculate my own passcode and went on my merry way. Still no response. Reminds me of going to a cafe in Paris and making the mistake of not speaking French like a native. It bothers me to give anyone this uninterested in his customers any money. I guess he's riding on being the only halfway decent APRS app out there. That'll change.
Do not buy. Developer has stopped supporting this app. Cannot get it to work right on my LG Tab or Nexus 5 on Lolipop. Developer will not support. Rip off!!
Sorry but I don't email copies of my licenses to strangers only to use an app. Not sure what you are doing with the licenses but there is a database you can use to verify, so not sure why the need for a copy. Sounds shady.
I run this almost daily from the truck. Have been using it for around 2 years now.

Great app. I've been running it for several years, both via APRS-IS and via AFSK through a VHF handheld. I even got it running on an AndroidThings beta for Raspberry PI, but that was sort of a dead end (no fault of the author, AndroidThings is IoT-oriented whereas Android for a phone is oriented for general purpose computing). That being said: Any ham who is complaining that they need a passcode for this app and one hasn't been forthcoming from Georg just needs to Google harder. APRS key generation is open source and there are several websites that will generate it for you from your call.
