PalermoTouR+

PalermoTouR + is an augmented reality browser - hence the R + in the name - thought for all the citizens of Palermo, tourists and locals , who may now have in their hands a personal tour guide to natural and artistic beauty .

PalermoTouR + is designed for use with the new generation of mobile devices, the Wearable computers (eg Google Glass )

PalermoTouR + , as well as the Italian language , that supports English , German, Spanish , Portuguese , French, Russian , Chinese and Japanese .

PalermoTouR + is very easy to use; Once you start you just point the camera of your smartphone or tablet into a tourist site and will be available all the details .

The information (loaded from the set Open Data " TOURISM - LIST OF TOURIST SITES CAN VISIT " *) are accessible with a simple tap on the tag that appears on the screen at the tourist site and they are:

- Description of the site
- Address
- Info
- Time input
- Note time input
- ticket
- Email address
- Website
- Guided notes
- Accessibility

Were added to the geographic coordinates and the distance from the user.

And ' possible to extend the range within which to explore the sights, and also has a feature to display all the sites on Google map with useful information to achieve .

Tab of the detail of each site were also made available the following functions:

-> Series of images of the tourist site taken from Google Images

Soon it will be also added to the dataset related to tourism "Tourism - WHAT TO DO " in order to access the list of restaurants, pizzerias, street food, discos, pubs , cocktail bars, wine bars and cafes surveyed by the Office of Tourism of the City of Palermo through the experience of Augmented Reality.

The app only works on devices with compass
