1. Security is traded for convenience, all account password is initialized as "root“ and "asdf1234" in login/wifi/samba/mysqld etc.
2. Please change the password, or use it with your own risk.
3. There's a cron background job try to update everyday, you might stop it

On my device it seems not to work: after accepting the TOS, installing the rest and granting root access, it straight up closes; every time I try to launch it it just closes itself. Any chance this app still is in management?

It'd be amazing if it worked. But on the Redmi note 3 its didly squat.

Better stick with dd-wrt companion app. This app is pointless if you're going to launch a web brower anyhow. There's no in app gui to control hosts connected on the network, parental control, scheduling, or live monitoring... Might as well just use a browser.
