Permission Friendly Apps

Great simple app, no adds, no permissions, and an easy way to see what permissions different apps are wanting. It would be nice if it could tell if a permission is denied for an app, and sort by the score based off only granted permissions. It would also be cool if for each app it gave a shortcut to its app information page in system settings, IIRC that can be done without root, and it seems odd that there's no button or link for that

Finally an app that don't ask for permissions or use shady strong arming tactics to track your every move invading your privacy ,.niiiice! Now if Google could only take some lessons from these developers it be great again.

I'm running OmniROM on a rooted phone yet all this app does is list permissions. OmniROM does this by default. I wanted to revoke network permissions for apps. I guess I'll have to uninstall and try another app.

Google is now opting to merely state, when updating an app, that "no additional permissions are required" (hoping you'll gloss over keyword 'add'l'' vs investigating). would be nice if this app would allow an access button to go-ogle play apps to get app info, then rate it, before one deletes it. I think go-ogle is now requiring developers to insert totally unnecessary permissions unbeknownst to users--why some apps need to open camera, read SD cards, view contacts, etc is way beyond an app's basic usage.

Not sure if good my app's I need to edit permission and even though it can it didn't for my galxy 3 Samsung. Okay a billion days later I finally went through all my apps and this really truly works guys! Great job S.E.

Needs to fix resizing for horizontal view and needs you to allow modification of permissions from the app itself. Also, I'm on Marshmallow and it alearted some permissions that I had already disabled.

Great app, only a person who doesn't know how android works would review it negatively. It does exactly what it proposes and on a very user friendly way.

Tells me what I need to know. Helps me uninstall what I don't want & doesn't require any permissions. Yea!

Ive been telling evrey one i know to get this app.avg people can understand & relate to your ranking system. i only wish that you had a paid version to change the permissions(if rooted) like app ops

Wow, amazing please don't change the UI or anything in for future as it might affect your image. The another best part is this app doesn't need any permission to download. Please explain the objective of scores?!?

A very good app, but the results need to be interpreted with care. Don't be alarmed if most of your apps are marked as "dangerous". This is to be expected in most cases. For instance, the Lookout security app has a very high score because it needs access to almost everything. Of course it does, it's a security app! Also most developers want to know how you use their apps - for analytical purposes so they can improve them, so this generally means network access is required. Please use this app as a guide only. Google Play only gives the bare minimum with regards to what permissions involve. This app explains in full detail the risks when an app's permissions are decidedly invasive. To those reviewers that complained what's next, what's next is now that you know what the potentially harmful apps are, and YOU decide whether to keep them or not (or root your phone to modify permissions). Thanks to this app I uninstalled a dozen spying apps and replaced them with ones with acceptable permissions. That's what's next.

Great for non-marshmallow users. However if you do have marshmallow it is necessary to distinguish between granted and blocked permissions. And changing permissions directly from this app would be nice too. Always a five star rating for no adds !!! Even though some of my apps are listed as safe but do produce irritating and sometimes aggressive (yes) adds.

If you're new to Android, or have never paid attention to the permissions your apps have access to, this app is a MUST. It's extremely easy to use and understand. You'll probably find yourself deleting some apps after using this! Lol.

What's the use of this app if u cant delete those unwanted permission? Just showing the permissions of all apps? Thats it? its just a common sense for all people. Before install an app. Make sure to take time reading its permission. Another app wasting battery life. Thats it! It runs in the background. Like hell of all you like this app. DUMBASSES

I see the app permissions. Now how about giving us some options to modify those permissions? In fact I think there's another app that does this way better but I forgot the name of it

I like the idea of rating an app based on its intrusiveness. It didn't rate all my apps (missed WhatsApp for ex) and sometimes gave inconsistent scores - bad score but when looking at the details it said it was ok).

The only reason I installed this app is because I am privacy seeker. And I can assure you that this app didn't let me down. It not only shows what permissions every app has access to, but also shows a severity score for every app and if you feel like the app is too severe for you, you can simply press the uninstal button right in the app. You can even filter the apps by permission, sort them by severity score or name which I believe every user will find it usefull. Totaly recommend.

Good, but no score explanation (what does it mean and which number should worry me?), no refresh, and doesn't list pre-installed apps (e.g. Google Slides on Nexus 6). Exemplary permissions (none), no ads, totally secure. IMO best permissions advisor for Android.

Pointless as you can see permissions required when installing. I thought it listed apps with no permissions but this is honestly pointless.

Facebook is the main battery draining and intrusive app on my phone that I want to monitor, but it wasn't listed when I scrolled through my list of apps. Uninstalled

But sometimes don't identify some apps functions and show its permission not safe ... in the next update we hope the developer add a list of safe apps in different categories .... thank you

This is a very helpful app if, like me, you want to get to grips with becoming permission 'literate'. It is quite an education, a learning curve. This app is a little gem which can help you gain better awareness of the peculiarities of permissions - and to be savvy as a result.

Didn't require any special permissions when I downloaded it. Specified its function in writing and held true to its statement. 5/5 stars.

Ignoring the permissions aspect is compromising ones mobile data security n privacy. One realises the most popular apps ask for most unnecessary permissions.Thank you developers for this app :)

Displays permissions for downloaded apps ONLY. Native, preinstalled app shows same info for ALL apps. All that this app adds is score for each app and sorting/filtering function.

Does what it says it does but now what? Every one of my apps (72) is "bad" but what am I supposed to do about it?

Needs to list ALL privacy exposures for an app (including ad libraries) & display a list of installed apps that have above average exposure for their app category.

I was unimpressed to find the apps that I had already downloaded because they needed no special permissions......had special permissions attached to them somehow. Just goes to show you what a deceitful world we live in these days
