Won't go beyond loading airports...crashes. Bad update?

Not good. Paper and tables are easier and less trouble for me. Fortunately, there is a free app that's simple and accurate.

When logging flights with location services on, MEX is listed as the departure station regardless of actual location. When the actual airport identifier is entered, the time zone correction it's no longer prefilled like it used to be. Samsung S-3.

On my Galaxy it is all but impossible to put in the rap and report time. It wants the colon but no way to put it in. Tapping somewhere else will eventually work, about the time the app crashes.

Nice update. Seems stable to me. Looks to be the same as the 1.4 version on that other OS.

Very difficult to use, constantly tries to update airport database. I punted and started keeping track by hand.

I try this app about once per week. Despite MANY updates it still crashes and will not work, Galaxy S3.

Crashes on every page, they updated this app 3 times in the last 3 days, and it still Crashes. Galaxy S4 ALPA only cares about IPhones/IPads even though 51% of the cell phone and tablet market is Android

App REALLY SUCKS! Just another ALPA debacle! App crashes frequently and screws up time zones. HEY ALPA, WE DON'T ALL USE IPHONES!

Just updated and now it won't work at all. Piece of $#!t.

Doesn't matter what's in time zone fields or what's set for home base time zone only gives result on imputed start time. Crashes when you try to center flights.

Crashes every time when trying to add a flight . Totally unusable app .

Not intuitive

I figured out how to use the app after the third update. While trying to play catch up, the app would crash at end of every day entered when hitting end duty period. Good news it retained all data.

Tutorial needs to be updated. What is the purpose of the airport database?

Annoying push notification messages now with latest update. Seems to happen every two or three hours now. Very annoying. Not user friendly at all.

Too complicated

Crashes after attempting to load airport DB.

Requires multiple alpa login's and still does not open other than randomly. Not good when trying to calculate times since it cannot be accessed.

Constantly crashes and logs me out. Requires multiple attempts to login again.

It dumps me out constantly, can't log back in!

Downgraded...continues to crash and log me out. It takes several attempts for me log back into the app. I will wait for improvements before I use it again.

Much better now. Still some works with bargaining the app and recovery of data from rest phone or to a new phone.

It won't even load up correctly. Gets to a black screen and sits for about 5 minutes, thev says the app isn't responding. I've tried closing, waiting, reporting, uninstalling, reinstalling..... nothing. I have an S3 that is up to date with the updates.

It could be more user friendly and it stops working every time I come back to the app after doing something else. But it's easy to get it running again. UPDATE: still stops working but now requires you to login again and without a data connection (say like at 30,000 feet) the app becomes useless.

Moved to a non ALPA carrier for career and family. Trying to get ALPA but they went talk to us yet. I pay inactive dues, but that's not enough I guess. With this update I lost access. There's no way to get my history back out of the app either. If you are also an inactive participant, DO NOT UPDATE!

Works pretty well for the most part. When I get a new phone there is no way to transfer flights over. If you uninstall it and reinstall it, your flights are also wiped out.

Latest revision doors some good updates. Being able to type in times is nice. Found a big if you put in your block out time then later put your in time the app will use the in time as a total number of hours for the flight putting 00:00 hours for the out time instead of the previously recorded time. Still no means to back up app data so a new phone our data wrote will make all your recorded hours evaporate.

Very cumbersome. Does not calculate correctly. I have been trying to enter an end of a FO and save it and it puts in a random value for it and will not let me change it. It is still calculating the incorrect total FO with the correct times put in the duty in and duty out. It's bad enough I have to enter all my time twice into log books but this thing is not user friendly at all. Crashes all the time.

For some reason, it won't read report Time and just says, You Need to Enter a report Time, IPhone version seems to work.

Happy to see that you have added the ability to put flight times in Zulu time. Definitely made this less cumbersome as the aircraft I fly shows this on the ACARS system. Also nice to see that I can track a flight duty period without actually logging flight time such as Ready Reserve or Pilot Monitoring in a simulator session. The app has been crashing on me a lot. If I do not back out of the add flight legs screen prior to the phone going into standby it almost always crashes, but if I do back out it does not crash. This was on a Motorola RAZR MAXX. I just upgraded to a Samsung G4 so we'll see if this is better. Going with that I am interested to see if all my data will transfer since we have to log on with our ALPA number for it to work. Otherwise how do we transfer data from an old device to a new device? Last time I tried emailing myself the data to view in Excel it was very garbled and not formatted well given that it was comma separated data.

Freezes and gives message of 'stopped working' after input of each flight segment. Pain in the jazz. LG Optimus
