Adblock Browser for Android

So far so good. It would be nice if the QUIT actually closed the program and cleared cache instead of it still open in the background using valuable resources. I like the customization to block all ads, although video ad placeholders still show on screen. It does not appear to load screens faster than other browsers making me think it still downloads the ad, but does not display it on the screen. My understanding that this is similar to the regular Adblock plus for the computer browsers.

The idea is to block ads and scripts. I do this because ads, and their associated scripts delay page loads and can move the content on the page around while you are trying to read. I had it at 5 but abp asked for a 5 star review again, and it's not a 5 anymore. There are new ads, or perhaps ads that are classified as non intrusive are getting through that will pop over content. This is recent. Most of the time the browser is aces.

I've been using this app for quite a while but I don't generally know what to say in reviews. The only real complaint I've ever had is a mildly annoying glitch that was fixed in a previous update anyway. Though, I do sometimes wonder about the logic of the optional system that allows unobtrusive ads. It seems like some of the ads blocked are pretty minor. Is this a matter of trackers hidden in the ad or something?

Performs as advertised. Not a peep from a web ad anywhere. God, do I ever hate ads. Youtube ads at least tend to have some level of entertainment value and gives me the option to stop seeing them after a few seconds. Web ads are annoying as sin. Sorry, favorite websites, but I can't take it. Give me a donation option.

Brilliant. Bit slower than regular browsers but it makes sense in my admittedly amateurs eye. Filtering for ads and blocking them takes some processing and it's less than a second delay anyway. Keep up the good work! One thing though: Some sits forcibly redirect you to an add rather than opening up another tab (the latter which the browser blocks successfully). Any thoughts or updates planned for that?

It's a great browser and blocks the ads well. Unfortunately, it seems to compress images badly! For example, browse Google images and try to download an image, it saves a really low quality copy. If you open the same image in Chrome and download it, then Chrome saves the same image in decent quality. That's the only drawback to this browser, and why Chrome remains my default.

Curiously enough, it wants access to my files such as videos, photos, camera(?) and some other stuff... I don't usually pay attention to the permissions but I don't see the reason why it needs access to those things.. Either I'm overthinking or this app is a scam and is being secretly used by the developers to grab dark, interesting secrets of the users in their phone... Let's hope for the best that it isn't the latter.

What is the point of an ad blocking browser that blocks no ads!? Every video ad still plays. Every page loaded loads ads, even as you try to read, pushing the content up or down, making it impossible to follow. This app doesn't block anything! And there is no place to tell it to block stuff it can't seem to recognize on it's own, like the desktop plugin (allegedly by the same people?). What's the point?

your latest version is SLOW AS HELL! i actually just upgraded my tablet from an android 4 on a dual core tablet to version 6 on a quad core tablet, and this software is totally unusable.... i have to use chrome right now and that means i am stuck seeing ads right now, but at least it is super fast.... whatever you have done in your latest update, please fix it.... thank you....

Since the update, one particular site I frequent will end up causing the software to crash (I assume it's either a script or memory use issue). This was something I experienced with Firefox w/ ABP plugin previously. I switched to ABP Browser at that time because it seemed more stable. Since this update was built with a more recent build of Firefox, that same instability is now seen.

I have no idea how to use this, am i supposed to browse things on the app? I'm not an old person to technology, but this is confusing, if there was just a tutorial or something to explain how it works that would probably help.

Doesn't block those awful vibrating screaming pop-ups. Pointless browser if it does not work. Chrome is way faster. Edit: Even worse since the new updates.

I do enjoy this app, it has almost everything I was looking for in an ad free browser. However, there is a problem involving the mobile youtube layout that negates one of the main reasons I got the app. If I play a playlist with the same video repeating after itself, the playlist just locks itself at the beginning of those repeating videos. I have a playlist with one video in the beginjing, one repeating itself three times, and another repeating itself three times. The problem in better detail, is the first video it plays fine, but the moment it gets to the first video in the first set of three, it locks itself to playing that video over, and over endlessly. Even hitting the "next video" button on the playlist refuses to play the next. The only way to change what is playing is to click a new video. I would absolutely love this app if this issue was fixed, because this problem negates the main reason I got this browser, functional ad free play lists on the go.

Doesn't block any ad.. Stupid browser. Visited a page couldn't surf BC so many ads popping up on it too. Never gonna use it again

Worked well for a while, but no longer blocks ads. Certain sites do not support it, forcing me to use Chrome. Oftentimes embedded videos take forever to load, or do not play at all. Annoyingly slow loading times. Uninstalled - I'm going with Brave Browser, which has none of these problems.

I used to LOVE this app. That is, until the "reading mode" feature stopped working after the last update. Now whenever I visit site with small print, I'm out of luck and I have to open up the website on google chrome and use THEIR reading mode feature. While I do love the ad blocking abilities, it's sort of pointless when I can't even read on certain websites even when there's no ads.

Can this app block porn website? I trying to quit masturbate and I heard about this app on Google. But I don't see any thing changes. This app can not block porn. It's work like be others. So I delete this app and I find other ways or I will using chrome back. It's better for me than this app. I'm sorry for being arrogant

I would and will give you more stars if you can explain to me the option of installing our own filters. On the menu, there is a place where we are supposed to be able to put in the URL of our filters. Problem is that it appears to be a scam, because where the search bar is to place the URL, directly underneath it (where you press to actually install it) is closed. As in, designed for the user not to be able to enter anything. False information and advertising. Unless I'm totally missing something, maybe if I was to try installing it while doing a handstand. Would that work?

This is a great app. When you find yourself annoyed at some ads (You will be re(rererere-endless)directed to trash page.), this browser can be your solution. Sigh, I need more features like statistic though.

While all android browsers are unstable, I have tried many, and this is the least prone to crashing. However, if you play a youtube video too quickly, it will load without visuals.

I just love this app.. Perfect!!! Was really annoyed with all the adds that pops up everytime I search something and just can't go back because I have to do this and that.. I have to install things.. But then I found you little app.. And I'm inlove with you now.. Thank you for making my life easier

Doesn't block content-blocking ads like those favored by goComics. Content-blocking ads turn browsing into slogging. Need an ad-locker that blocks them.

A great app with shortcomings that developers know about but will not fix. 1. Bookmarks can not be sorted or managed or grouped - therefore, looking for the bookmark is p0ssible only by scrolling down on the page where bookmarks appear. Users with many bookmarks will be challenged manage, sort, find, or use! 2. Links to YouTube videos that appear in a search do not play any more within the browser or on YouTube when the link is clicked. The only way to play a video is monkey around with the URL that appears in search using the browser after copying and pasting the link within the YouTube app.

Somehow ads from Taboola, masquerading as 'Promoted Links', have managed to sneak their way through on one site i use pretty regularly. Very annoying

I get to use my phone without ad. World has gone crazy for ads. The good thing is I do not get to see them. Ignorance is a bliss in this case.

Latest version fixed a small UI problem I had where the Fine in Page buttons wouldn't show, now they do! It's great seeing you guys support this app so well and go to the trouble of actually checking reviews, good job and my thanks!

I really like the app. The only thing is in the last few days, it stopped blocking apps for me. Previously, it was working just fine. Hopefully it gets fixed soon!

Has the same love and feel I have for Firefox. I can view ad spam web sites that I like and not have to deal with frustrating ads. It's more effective than the add on.

It won't run on my Lenovo Yoga. Even after a re install, it ran very slowly then after a reboot it would not start at all and kept crashing.

Useful It helps eliminate unwanted and annoying adds which are randomly popping up. Hands down to this app. Good job developers.

Does what it says, however the pages load slowly despite of having a strong WiFi and also please add an option for setting default search engine it's annoying to set Google each time.i hope u look forward in it.

I keep getting pop up adds even of i just open whatapp.. it doesnt stop any adds from poping up and its a useless app.. i would not recomend it at all.. i hated it alot!!!

Amazing browser, but it randomly gets it's ad blocking feature disabled and closes when loading the ads. I have to gamble on it blocking the ads on the first run or stop the application and try again.

after the update i am no longer able to send facebook messages without having to use the messenger app,which overrides the ad blocking anyway! I KNEW i shouldn't have updated it!!!

I just love the fact that I downloaded an ad BLOCKER! And I get more ad pop ups on this that I do on a regular browser.

I love reading Chinese light novels online but the ads on the sites make it almost impossible to load properly. When I use this app it becomes as fast as my normal web browsing.

The ad/popup/script blockers are working perfectly!! I found a problem with the integrated video player, it's taking a lot of space (visually) and keeps crushing.

Doesn't work. Work only 1st week after install. And can't downloads picture. And stop VPN connection many time and too many shutdown browser.

Works great. Even youtube works well ad free. Thanks for giving me back days of my life that would have been wasted watching ads.
