About SD Emergency

Disaster Preparedness Starts With You.

Your family may not be together when disaster strikes, so it is important to plan in advance: how you will contact one another; how you will get back together; and what you will do in different disaster situations. The SD Emergency app contains disaster preparedness information, like:

• The ability to import or create your own emergency plan, plus the option to share with family and friends*
• The ability to build an emergency supplies kit that can be backed up and restored*
• Notifications when your emergency plan and kit are expired*

And when disaster strikes, the SD Emergency app will keep you and your family informed with:

• Emergency updates
• Interactive emergency maps
• Shelter locations

Plus, the app features a recovery section with resources during the aftermath of disasters.

The County of San Diego Office of Emergency Services (OES) created the SD Emergency app to better prepare and inform San Diego County residents and visitors about disasters. With SD Emergency, the tools you need to plan, prepare, and respond in an emergency are right at your fingertips.

I wish there were more options to share to social networks. I don't even get an option to share to Twitter or Facebook? I just don't get it. This app needs a re-design badly and should follow Google's latest design guidelines. The app runs much slower than it should, especially the maps portion. The good? It does provide good information.

good app but has many technical issues. Force closes when using the Ready and Emergency tabs. Will update review when i can get access to the content of those tabs.

for those who want other alerts, like amber alerts, then download an application just for that. I hate applications that get bloated with stuff people ask for. Stop the insanity. Wading thru an application to find someting your looking for does 1.) bloats the app, 2.) Makes navigating the app hard at times. I am not heartless, however downliad an application that is strickly for Amber Alerts.

On my phone, the app doesn't rotate and does not finger(s) zoom. In Settings, words are clumped up on one side of the screen, leading me to believe the app was only written for tablets.

Small changes, but those little tweeks make the app easlier to use.

This app should be the very thing I want because I live in San Diego County. But it seems like I have been getting upgrade notices for the last 3 months. I delete my app and upgrade, and then I'm invited to upgrade again in a couple of weeks. I still don't know if I have the right app. Why do I get upgrade notices if my app is current? Oh well.

I like the app knowing i have it in an emergancy. However today we had an amber alert issued with a child in danger. I assumed your app would have information as it is an emergancy when child is in danger in our city. Please add to make your app more useful and kids safe.

Great app. Would be good if it was able to be developed for other locations! Regardless, lots of very good info and preparedness suggestions.

The maps were not very useful in the beginning of this fire @&#*storm and now they are completely blank. The updates weren't all that helpful, detailed or timely. Work needs to be done on this app!!

After I put in my emergency information, I can't get to the bottom of the screen to save it. The cursor stays up at the top. I give up.
