Fine Volume Control V2 (Trial) for Android
When I installed this app, it reduced Bluetooth media volume so low that I can no longer use Bluetooth at all, even with all volume controls at maximum. Uninstalling the app does not reverse the effect. Now I will have to do a factory reset and hope for the best. Thanks a lot, people. (Nexus 5 running Android 6.0.1)
Maybe I just need more sensitive headphones, but the volume doesn't seem to be effected finely if it is above 18% volume. I can only hear a difference after every 5_7 increments of volume adjustment. But under 18% I can here just about every change. Like I said before though, I could just need more sensitive headphones to really hear a difference, but I don't really feel like buying some just for this. I love the concept though. Just wish I could hear the difference.
I wanted this app to decrease my volume below the minimum, for which is this one of the few apps that works! However, it doesn't work with YouTube, it goes back to the phone-minimum all the time and randomly increases to very loud. Since I want this for falling asleep, won't buy the full version now my trial has expired. Too bad.
Well, so far the only app which lets me actually set volume of my headset to tolerable levels (lowest android default destoys my eardrums). My main gripe is that you have to be in the app itself to do so. Touching the pgysical volume buttons on my phone sets the volume to androids default, blasting what feels like 200db into my ears. I'm sure theres a bunchof other nice features, which I have no use for. All I would have liked is something to replace default volume control to something that I can use with a headset. Bummer.
The screen displays are too big. Otherwise very good application. Update - I still feel it indeed gives you fine volume control, but the display is too imposing. A replacement volume slider would do fine & earn it 5 stars, too. UPDATE: I find myself annoyed with this program. Too cumbersome to use. It is a fine mixer, though; it allows controlling the volume of different audio streams.
One problem with this app is that if you need to lower the volume and you dial it lower than about 54, you cannot raise it beyond that later on if you need to without increasing the regular phone volume. Also, there are times when you have to go into the app to control the volume. Third, it would be better if u could choose what volume (e.g. media) you want to use the app for so that the huge volume dial graphic is not shown everytime you go into your phone alarm or ring volume.
EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!!! DEVELOPERS, PLEASE READ THIS!!! This program has a huge bug. When your trial runs out, everything you have to do is to delete the program and then reinstall it. Trial will begin again. Fine Volume Control v2.0 is very useful and without alternatives, but because of this bug you may not get money you deserve. Sorry for using this exploit for some time. I'm going to buy full version of this program.
I'm glad a developer tried to make this, but it seems that the way Android operating system is set up makes this type of app impossible to work very well... BLips to full volume 2 times very briefly every time you go to change it. This is the Android operating system's fault, they should have volume control like this -and even more fine than this- to begin with..I don't know why they don't; other than the fact that all evil programs and operating systems suck! Look at windows and Facebook. Need I say more?~
What i love about this app : the option to have a 100 control volume instead of 10. What i dislike about this app : the circle volume control. I would rather set the volume with -/+ instead. Make that option available and i definitely will buy this app. Till then, i am still searching for something better.

This app effectively adds more volume steps so that I can lower the minimum sound to just barely audible. Nice. I would like to see this app take over and remove the standard volume pop-up. Sometime the old popup gets in the way. Also it would be great if the volume button used this app, instead of the standard android volume controls. When I touch the vol button the volume immediately jumps to the next highest/lowest android setting. I like my volume on 4 or 5 so if I hit the buttion, it goes to 0 or 12. This is why i purchased the app, not enough volume steps on the standard android platform.
What why only 50000 dowloads. If this had an option to save presets to each song and or album it would be the best app on the market. These guys aren't genesis hear. They've only done the right thing. Why can't this be the norm. Only 15 standard volume settings is pathetic. These people require high praise. Give them that by downloading this app and you won't be disappointed. Splendid exercise in common sense here. Thanks to the developers.
It is good to be able to fine tune the music volume. But unfortunately the app forgets the setting from time to time. And I really hate that it also controls other volume settings, like the ring volume. All of a sudden it is down to almost zero, which causes me to miss incoming calls. It would be better if it only controlled the music volume.
The default volume control only had 10 steps, and the lowest setting was too loud with earphones. This app gives me 4 more lower volume steps, which is perfect for my needs. Now if there was just a way to control this app from Tasker, I'd be even happier.
Update: Not working on my new nexus 6p. Original:11/12/13:Great app that works and does what it says. One complaint though (it is noted), it has issues if you use the hardware volume buttons to adjust the volume level. It, or the phone, gets all confused and things can get loud real fast.

Does allow fine volume control but limits it to 50%. Also there is no way to even open this app's preferences to adjust settings (no icon or other visible way to bring them up). This is on Android 5.1.1 (lollipop).
I was super excited to have finally gotten an LG Tone+ headset and was crushed when I thought I'd have to return them since the lowest volume was way too loud. After some googling I found I wasn't the only one who had this problem and found a forum post from the developer where he told people about this app, and thanks to it I can use the headset perfectly. Thanks!
Well the trial obviously was no good. Installed it hoping to use later on but who knew it started counting 7 days before i even opened the app.. was planning on buying it if i liked the trial but now i guess i cant buy it since i never got to use it..
1. Could it be possible if you add the scale of -100 instead of the option 'Extra low' in Advanced preferences in Volume level. Would be great. 2. Are the 4 profiles linked to General, In meeting, Silent and Loud ?
Great idea and app! I use Comply foam sleeves with my headphones, and the default volume increments are too coarse. Shame it doesn't work on Galaxy S3. I'll try again when (if) I get my LG G4 back from warranty repair.
I love it on my Samsung Galaxy Nexus. It saved the music player from being junk. Unfortunately it does not work on my Galaxy J3 I just got. I have no idea why some Android phones have such a big jump in volume increments. It makes me leery of getting another one although I would like the Nexus 6P.
This worked great on my Note 3, but on my Note 5 it does nothing at all and shows all volumes as muted. Devs, please make this work as I paid money for it and Note 5 is a flagship android device. As it stands it is worthless to me.
The fine volume controls do work as advertised. The feature that I installed it for is unavailable. I want to disable the nanny warning about volume, but there is no way to get to the advanced settings. I have a Sprint Galaxy S5 running marshmallow.
Saved me from the frustration I was having with my newly bought SB556 Bluetooth headphones, stupid android volume control is stupid. That's all I'll say. Couldn't reduce the volume below the minimum mark before, but this app makes it possible. Thank you so much devs!!
After the Android 5 upgrade made my minimum volume too loud on my galaxy s5, this came to the rescue. Nice work, fixed annoyingly loud system noises too!
My opinion of this app was initially a five star review. Having used it for a few weeks it's since shown to be so unreliable add to be useless. You constantly have to reset it to the volume step level you want. The main flaw though is simply that it suddenly blares out at full volume at completely random times. Wish I hadn't bought it now.
Does what I want, and profiles are useful. 4 stars because it's a little slow, and sometimes (very rarely) the volume flies around all over the place.
Any volume profiles or limits are simply overridden by media apps. Whilst the coarse volume control issue is integral to Android, it seems the only reliable fix will be a hardware one.
Originally downloaded to use volumes less than the available default levels. It works. But in an obtrusive way (i.e. fills the entire screen with the volume window).
It Truly is the best. Just using it to listen to Vocaloid songs mostly lol. Don't judge me, they're awesome. Just give me a little time to develop a schedule of when to add money to my account to buy full lol.
Various headphones I tried had lowest volumes that were way to high hurting my ears. It would also make them dangerous to use while cycling. This allowed me to lower the volume to exactly the level that was suitable for the situation. The volume is now safe for my ears and while cycling. Thank you so much for this app! :)
I really wanted to give this a good review, because it certainly DOES allow volume to be lower than the norm. However, as it has synched notification and ring volume, this app is useless for my needs. I will have to uninstall it. Pity.
Most android products are unlikely to have an adjustable increment between two button presses, so in the case of a pair of headphones at about 32 ohms or less (aka your average headphone), sound has to hit you either too softly, or way the heck too loud. This app remedies most of the issue. Unfortunately in order for you to adjust the volume at a nice 1 percent between presses, you have to have your phone awake and in the app itself. Close enough, i have no trouble opening up this app to do such a simple task, It's pretty powerful since without it you are stuck with a chunky volume control.
It doesn't seem to work anymore on the S6 while it did a few weeks ago and I even have the paid version, very dissatisfied. Used to work just fine and I loved it.
My phone is relatively loud on the lowest default volume setting. With this app however , you can tell that the minimum setting is still 33% of max volume, and lower it to a suitable level. Love IT!!
It does what it says... But 1% is even louder than I want it to be. I'm not sure if 1% increments is a limitation of the OS or of the app.
Having had some monitors made up, I needed software to decrease the output volume of my various devices to a much lower volume than normal. This app allows a reduced default level and more granular adjustments to the volume. I also like the option to preset various levels to suit different environments, or different media.
Setting the safe volume warning to 100% is the only feature I need in a trial version to get rid of it. I don't need 99% of all the features, so I'm going to have it uninstalled. Hopefully setting the safe volume warning to 100% will stay the same once uninstalled.

quite great, infact only fine volume tuning that works with my bluetooth. Just abit difficult for my android version.. Open app you play music, tune its volume to max level you think you are using. Leave it background and open fine volume- which drops sound level. Back to player app enjoying tuned bluetooth sound levels, and now use only player music controls
