OBD Park Brake Reminder

for mechanical and electric parking brakes

This App Park Brake Reminder(PBR) is running on the android devices combined with a Bluetooth connection to a OBD dongle, equipped on the vehicle. After activation and pairing of the OBD dongle, the PBR is starting to listen to the vehicles CAN bus via OBD Bluetooth dongle. Once activated, the app is proceeding working in the background, as long the user desire, f.e. one week or even year. Even if the cell phone has shut off, because of energy loss, the PBR will start working automatically, if it was activated before shut down.

If the PBR has identified, that the driver has forgotten to activate the park brake by leaving the vehicle in an unsafe state, the PBR is notifying via alarm sound and vibration over the cell phone.

It has a supporting mean of monitor and does not take over the responsibility for the safe state of the vehicle.
