go48s for Android
This is the HP 48S app. For an interesting comparison install go↑48g. Quickly you will see how far the calculators went in the S to G transition. Give both a try! They are small and free. (For loading and saving calculator files you need gohp48sx and or gohp48gx.) This app allows a user to get the feel for the. $12.00 GO↑48SX app. By installing it the user can see if GO↑48SX will be compatable with their device. They should try rebooting after the app is installed and make sure there is no Try to Recover Memory Prompt or hang. At the present it is bugged on kitkat and higher for any user other than the owner. It will run but once the user has been change it is corrupted and calculator memory is lost. A Suggestion for a Fix: Store all the data in /storage/emulated/0 for the owner. For each user put it in /storage/emulated/10 and so forth. Droid48 uses this trick.
It's good, but not as good as Droid48sx. To elaborate a bit ... the interface isn't as nice and aside from the lack of aesthetics, it doesn't have a nice feel like both Droid48sx and Droid48 have.

It does not work with Android 5.0 (Lollipop)
Emulates the HP 48S well and, unlike droid48sx, it works on 8 inch devices. During edit the cursor blinks. This app is limited to 32k and has no provision for export or import. droid48sx has import but no export. It you want both you need GO↑48SX. Note: By sad experience this app has been found to work only for Owner. Perhaps this will get fixed later. Don't know how many multi-user tablets are out there.
For anyone that misses their 48 and just can't be bothered to carry a separate unit, here is the next best thing.

Works great on Samsung galaxy S2, and Kindle Fire HD (if it displays Try to Recover Memory? but you can't do anything to clear the message and use the calculator - pressing Yes or No has no effect, just clear the app data from android).

Perfect. Lenovo 8" tab. Lovely HP like experience. 5-star. Perfect clarity and font size. Minor hickup 2 mins fiddle with the memory clear on install to initialize.
Bad presentation on screen. Not enough contrast between buttons etc. Sorry, does not gel, most disappointing. Back to the drawing board on this one Oliver...
Works just like the real thing! Droid Bionic ICS.
Really nice emulator. Great to use with the speed improvement! I now has CAS on my android. Thanks Olivier
The layout is less than ideal, some of the bottom of the display is not visible, and the lettering on the keys is really, really hard to see. The outline of the keys is very faint, too. So even finding the keys is a challenge, using this for much longer than two or three minutes is masochistic. Kudos for reproducing the original calculator's functionality, but when a program is so ugly that usability is hampered, the whole thing no longer deserves to exist. Also, few to none configuration options. There is another HP 48 emulator for Android that is a lot better than this one.
